Welcome![edit]

Hello Xbox99! Welcome to UESPWiki. It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! —Kitkat TalkContribE-mail 11:52, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Can anyone tell me about any pages that are missing,or have missing info?- User:xbox99

Try looking at the Helping Out page. And a lot of Skyrim or Dawnguard articles are missing info,so just look around there.--Skyrimplayer 20:53, 1 August 2012 (UTC)
Looking at the pages you have edited so far i assume you looking for Oblivion pages? You may wish to look at the Oblivion Places Redesign Project and Oblivion NPC Redesign Project. If you have Shivering Isles you may also wish to check out Shivering Isles Redesign Project. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 20:55, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Edits to User:Para01/Sandbox5‎ and some pointers[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to the site, but I had to revert your edits to the above linked page. I understand what you meant to do, but that {{Quest Link}} that you corrected is designed to link to the quest page provided while showing the summary of it. It's set to assume the namespace it was in is the correct one, which is how it works for every gamespace, but since we don't have quests in Userspace, it naturally redlinks. It would have been left in that format so that it linked correctly to the Oblivion quest when the sandbox was launched on it's article.

Also, just to point out, unless the user says so, sandboxes in a user subpage are typically not edited by other users, as it is their personal space. Para01 has been inactive for over a year, and I assume his sandbox wouldn't be edited by him any time soon, so it wouldn't be productive to bother editing his sandbox. If you want your own sandbox, you can just create a link like this [[User:Xbox99/Sandbox]] (here is a link) and have your own sandbox to make edits in, which as I mentioned, would be your personal testing space for playing with formatting, testing what templates do, or redesigning content pages like Para01 was doing.

One last thing, when you were making those edits, you didn't use "Show Preview" and made a bunch of small edits. When you use "Show Preview", you can see what an edit will look like before committing it, and you can polish the edit without cluttering the Recent Changes page, which Patrollers like myself would have to manually read.

Thanks, and keep up the good work :) Snowmane(talkemail) 21:15, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Can anyone tell me where to get an image of Jauffre with his Blade helmet, but wearing Monk Robes?-User:xbox99

Advice[edit]

Hello and welcome to UESPWiki! Thanks for your interest in the wiki; however, you seem to have been making multiple edits to a page by not using the show preview button, clogging up the Recent Changes in the process. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but keep in mind that each edit needs to be patrolled, so multiple consecutive edits create an unnecessary hassle on those who patrol. So please utilize this feature! You may also want to look over our style guide and Getting Started guide. Feel free to ask if you have any questions. —ABCface 11:00, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

This includes edits to your own user page, in case you were wondering. Please use the show preview button, as it means less work for us. ThuumofReason 13:51, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Hey Xbox99. Just another reminder about the Show Preview-button – you just made 26 edits to your user page in less than an hour. Remember that our patrollers needs to patrol each and every edit manually - and all of them have more important things to do. Please follow this link for more information. Thanks. --Krusty 10:23, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

I'll 'Show Preview' in the future!-xbox99

Image[edit]

Hey Xbox99.I saw you asking about Jauffre wearing monk robes and the Blade helmet. In the vanilla game,Jauffre does not wear a helmet just Blades armor. You won't be able to get an image of him like that on the Xbox.If you were playing on the PC you could use the console. But according to your userpage you play on the Xbox.Sorry.--Skyrimplayer 14:02, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

I've had it happen on the PS3, so it is possible. However, I think it is a glitch. --Br3admax 14:07, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
I'm reaching here, but. He might have picked it up as there are a lot of Blade's helmets laying around Cloud Ruler Temple.I know guards sometimes loot corpses and containers,so it might be possible for NPCs to pick items up from off the ground. --Skyrimplayer 14:21, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks i'll keep that in mind! -Xbox99

Oh yeah.Xbox, some anonymous editor is editing your userpage.--Skyrimplayer 14:28, 2 August 2012 (UTC)

that was me! I forgot to logon!-Xbox99

Bugs[edit]

You may never have heard of or seen this ,but could anyone tell me why this could happen: Lenka may appear next to the player after you are released from prison. After spawning, she will immediately head for Kvatch. (It happened to me on my third character ,on Oblivion, Algor.)-Xbox99

I've never seen it (or heard of it) myself, but it sounds like a similar deal to the fighters guild members from the first cheydinhal quest spawning next to you when you get released. ThuumofReason 10:55, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

Thanks.-Xbox99

Deepscorn Prisoner[edit]

Thanks to skyrimplayer and alphabetface for improving my page! (Did you use the CS to find info?)

Images[edit]

Hiya Xbox99! I noticed the two images you recently uploaded for the Alban Corinis article, and I thought I'd point out the image help page to you where the wiki's image standards are explained. To sum up the major points, you should always use a PC to upload images to the wiki, unless they're just for your userpage (or in the case when the game isn't available on PC). An introductory NPC image should always have an aspect ratio of 1:1, which means it is square. Other NPC images should have an aspect ratio of 4:3. Also, the size of images for the modern games should be larger than both the images you uploaded as well. We appreciate your help, but if you do not have access to the game on PC, then it's better to wait for someone else to upload a missing image. Please keep this in mind in the future, and feel free to help out on articles in other ways! Thanks. :) — ABCface 17:23, 11 August 2013 (GMT)

Signature[edit]

Hi Xbox99, could you please, when signing your posts, use the four tildes (~~~~) instead of simply writing a link to your userpage? This method has the advantage of adding a standardized time stamp, which makes it easyer to follow the history of a conversation. You can customnize your signature in your Preferences, if you so desire. -- SarthesArai Talk 17:36, 20 November 2013 (GMT)

Faustina's Dialogue[edit]

I wasn't able to find any additional French dialogue for Faustina, as you suggested in this edit. Can you point me towards it, please? Robin Hood(talk) 04:57, 15 July 2021 (UTC)

It's not listed in the construction set if that's what you mean. I find these sorts of things just lingering in the bsa files. I uploaded a youtube video with all this dialogue for the German version, but I didn't see the point of using the French audio too, since the video was simply translating the German audio to show off the dialogue to an English audience. Anyway, I still have a folder on my computer of the French Imperial/Breton reading all the dialogue. You can easily find it if you change your game language for Oblivion on Steam, extract the voice bsas and look for files like 'ms04_convince_0003d4ae_1', 'ms04_convince_0003d49c_1', etc. I'm not sure how things get verified on this site, but I would never put false info out there. Most of what I've been adding to the site has been covered by my Youtube channel or my Uncut mod, so I can point you towards them if needs be in future. --Xbox99 (talk) 10:38, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
While we do also try to verify information on our site, in this case, there was talk of transcribing it. I'm not sure if my French is up to that level, but I'm pretty sure we can find someone whose French is better than mine. Thanks for the directions! Robin Hood(talk) 14:02, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
No problem. I'm kinda a nerd when it comes to the cut content stuff and it's fun to put the info out there. Let me know how the transcription goes. Will you be listing the German dialogue too since it's already been translated, or are you looking for the original localisation subtitles? I have info on other unused dialogue hidden in other languages as well, but I lost my own transcription file and need to re-translate them lol. --Xbox99 (talk) 14:27, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
We haven't gotten that explicit about what we're doing yet. It was more an off-hand comment of "We should have this on the site". Robin Hood(talk) 14:47, 15 July 2021 (UTC)
