The Ancient One

The Ancient One is a miniboss found within the Vaults of Madness. It has a chance to drop either Watcher's Eye or Ring of the Ancient One, both unique items.

Skills and Abilities[edit]

The Ancient One has all the same abilities as a regular watcher, except for one of the abilties being modified.

Gaze
The Ancient One shoots a beam from its eye directly at the player as a basic ranged attack, doing moderate magic damage.
Doom-Truth's Gaze
The Ancient One winds up and releases a series of beams along the ground in front of it. Getting hit by one will do high magical damage to the player, and stun them briefly. The beams can be avoided by being behind the Ancient One when it is performing this attack.
Shockwave
The Ancient One quickly spins around releasing a burst of magic, doing extremely high damage to anyone around it. This attack has no red circle indication.

ON-icon-achievement-UD Skill Master.png Vaults of Madness Survivor 50 Defeat the Cursed One, Ulguna Soul-Reaver, Death's Head, Grothdarr, Achaeraizur, the Ancient One, Iskra the Omen, and the Mad Architect in Veteran Vaults of Madness, without suffering a group member death.
ON-icon-achievement-Veteran Speed.png Vaults of Madness Assassin 50 Defeat the Cursed One, Ulguna Soul-Reaver, Death's Head, Grothdarr, Achaeraizur, the Ancient One, Iskra the Omen, and the Mad Architect in Veteran Vaults of Madness within twenty minutes of starting the dungeon. Timer starts when players engage the first group of tormentors.
