This uncanny pocket realm of Oblivion is a nightmarish forest ruled by the mysterious Crow Mother. It's like Tamriel, yet unlike—for the Daedra cannot create, only imitate, and their simulacra of mortal realms are always twisted and exaggerated.
The cave leading to Crow's Wood

Crow's Wood is a pocket plane of Evergloam accessed via a cleverly disguised portal in Davon's Watch, in Stonefalls.

Crow's Wood

It is inhabited by wolves, wisps, giant bats, ghosts, and various talking crows that collectively call themselves the Blackfeather Court. To reach it, look for a small cave on the shore just to the east of Davon's Watch. Inside, there's what appears to be a treasure chest. Touch it, and a portal will open that transports you into Crow's Wood. It seems the portal's creator didn't think too carefully about his choice of a non-tempting camouflage for his portal.

Crow's Wood consists of an island surrounded by a lake. Several lake fishing holes can be found around the shoreline. None of the fishing holes can be found around the perimeter; they're all located near the main island. Several lost souls can be encountered throughout the dungeon. They have no names and no unique dialogue, and fade away when you approach them. Torchbugs can be seen fluttering around the realm. If you look at the sky, you can see things that look like shooting stars falling from the sky in the distance. Occasionally, strange magical phenomena appear several meters out of reach above the grotto. They resemble rifts with blue light pouring out of them.

An ore node can be found on one of the strips of land northwest of the main island. A chest can be found on the northwest corner of the island. There's a ruined tower on the northeast corner of the island. A lake fishing hole can be found in the water near the tower. A runestone can be found on the strip of land east of the main island. Bosses have a chance to drop the Torc Tonal Focus antiquity lead for the Torc of Tonal Constancy.

Entrance[edit]

When you enter Crow's Wood, you'll end up on a landing at the southern part of the island. A clothier material node can be found near Telbaril Oran. If you follow the path to the north, you'll reach a valley full of wolves. A runestone lies along the path. A Hidden Nest and Grizzlehide's Cave lie within the valley.

Hidden Nest (center)[edit]

Interior
Hidden Nest

The first structure you'll come across when you head north from the entrance is a ruined tower. A trap door is in the tower, and a lost soul is on the stairs. The lost soul is standing next to an unnamed rotting corpse and a heavy sack. A pheasant that provides poultry is hanging above the trap door.

Inside the tower is a ritual chamber. Several containers can be found within. A soul gem and a copy of Crow's Spell of Binding are on the table.

Grizzlehide's Cave[edit]

Interior
Grizzlehide's Cave

North of the Hidden Nest is a cave containing Grizzlehide, a black bear. A Slain Adventurer can be found at the mouth of a cave next to a Crow's Wood Traveler's Log. A cave containing three wolves lies to the south of Grizzlehide's Cave.

Ruined Cabin[edit]

The Ruined Cabin

Wisps line the path leading down to the cabin from the valley where Grizzlehide's Cave is located. More wisps wander the lagoon around the cabin. The Knave of Rooks can be found sitting on the railing in front of the house. You must come here to search for clues of Rulantaril's whereabouts. You'll find some Charred Notes. The Moonlit Maiden can be found south of the cabin, and the dungeon's skyshard can be found south of her arena.

Buron can be found in a cave to the north of the cabin. A chest and a silver dagger required to pay the toll of silver can be found in the cave.

Hidden Nest (Southeast)[edit]

Interior
The Hermit Crow's tower

The Hermit Crow resides in a ruined tower on the southeast corner of the island. A lake fishing hole is in the lake down the hill from the tower. A rat is standing on the ground in front o f the tower, near a skeleton and a pumpkin. Ghyslain's arena lies up the stairs behind the tower. There is a runestone behind the tower. Across the lake to the east of the tower lies a pile of bones lit by a torch. A bed of furs and straw is there along with several bottles and skulls. It's clear that someone has been here, but they're nowhere to be found.

Beneath the stairs lies a trap door which leads to a Hidden Nest. Beneath the trap door is a copy of Crow's Spell of Binding, containers and several provisioning ingredients, including grapes and poultry.

Group Event[edit]

Group Event

There are four groups of three soul wraiths lingering around a ritual drawing souls in from every corner of the Wood. You must kill all twelve soul wraiths to summon Ghyslain, the boss.

There's a heavy sack in a ruined tower in the northeastern corner of the courtyard full of soul wraiths. A staircase, which leads to Crow Mother's Tower, lies north of the courtyard. A lost soul can be found around the bend at the top of the stairs leading to Crow Mother's Tower.

Crow Mother's Tower[edit]

Crow Mother's Tower

Crow Mother's Tower is located north of the Crow's Wood group event. A flower can be picked in front of the tower. Across from Crow Mother's Tower is a ruined tower which contains a chest protected by a red ward. A runestone lies behind this tower. A giant spider boss named Wrathvenom lies south of the tower with the cursed chest.

Blackfeather Court[edit]

Blackfeather Court

The Blackfeather Court lies in a grotto in the center of the island, which is accessible from the north.

Ruined Passage[edit]

Ruined Passage

This passage connects the lower part of the island with the highlands. It lies west of the Blackfeather Court and northwest of Shriekscorn, a giant bat that serves as a boss. Spiders fill the passage. A lost soul can be seen standing on top of the western portion of the ruins.
