Welcome[edit]

Hello Quantheory! Welcome to UESPWiki! It's always good to have new members. If you would like to help improve any of our pages, you may want to take a look at the following links:

If you would like to spice up your userpage, click here for a list of userboxes you can use, including a guide to making your own.

When you're editing, it's always a good idea to leave edit summaries to explain the changes you have made to a particular page, and remember to sign your talk page posts with four tildes ~~~~. Also, the "show preview" button is a great way to view the changes you've made so far without actually saving the page (our patrollers really appreciate it!).

Feel free to practice editing in the sandbox or discuss the games in the forums. If you need any help, don't hesitate to contact one of our mentors. Have fun! Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:49, 13 November 2013 (GMT)

Grammar[edit]

Good catch! I read that over several times and still didn't notice till you pointed it out. Robin Hood  (talk) 05:55, 16 February 2014 (GMT)

Thanks! I used to be a copy editor, so I've had a bit of practice. Still, it's hard to notice errors like that one, where your mind fills in the missing word as it scans through the sentence. Quantheory (talk) 06:13, 16 February 2014 (GMT)

Delodiil[edit]

Howdy! I'm not familiar with much of the new ESO lore on Delodiil, but I was wondering if you consulted the Remanada at all when creating the Delodiil lore page. Notably, the page says "Delodiil apparently disappeared when Ayleids still ruled the Heartlands" (i.e., no later than the first two or three centuries of the First Era). But Remanada, which recounts events circa 1E 2700, mentions the city and implies it still existed around that time. Insignificant RevisionsThreatsEvidence 05:29, 30 June 2014 (GMT)

Heya! I did check the Remanada actually (it is mentioned on the page shortly after the sentence you quoted). Delodiil is consistently described as one of two Ayleid-ruled cities in the Heartlands, e.g. in The Whithering of Delodiil, so I think that putting it well before the fall of Ayleid civilization is pretty safe. Furthermore, the ruins of the other city destroyed in that legend, Abagarlas, are present in Oblivion, and are actually almost adjacent to the Imperial City (east, near the prison), meaning that this probably occurred even before the Slave Rebellion, in the Merethic Era. Anyway, I did put a cite of Whithering on the page to hopefully clarify.
The Remanada is a bit of a puzzle; it mentions Delodiil too far to the west, in Colovia, and far too late. It's possible of course that it's just a different city with the same name. I prefer to think that they are the same city, and that when Delodiil supposedly disappeared, it was actually teleported by Meridia to an obscure location to the west, eventually being conquered and becoming part of Colovia, showing up in the Remanada, and being either razed or rebuilt and renamed sometime in later history, before the Interregnum. But that didn't seem certain enough to put on the page. Quantheory (talk) 04:48, 1 July 2014 (GMT)
Guess I should've kept reading. Insignificant RevisionsThreatsEvidence 06:51, 1 July 2014 (GMT)
