Reflect XXX?[edit]
Does this creature possess Reflect XXX (either Magic or "standard" reflect) abilites? I was using a Daedric Sword with "Damage Health"-Enchantment on one of these creatures, and while it hit me 2-3 times, I hit IT once, only watching my health draining very fast, while I was backing up; I reproduced this a lot of times, and died every time after about 2-3 hits THAT I SCORED on the Sabre Cat.
Now, I CAN'T say for sure if it really reflected the damage of my Enchantment, BUT my health went town ALOT, and besides the Sabre Cat glowing red when I hit it (the proof that it got hit with the Damage Health echantmanted weapon), MY OWN HAND GLOWED RED TOO, only for about 2 seconds, but I died a split second later; that's what made me switch to non-enchanted weapons (that, and the "Enchanted Weapon" sound being stuck on my character, playing even when I uneqipped everything and just "drew" my fists and had NO enchanted equipment left on my character; was quite annoying and I had to revert to a LOT older savegame to fix it, but that just has nothing to do with that.)
Quite weird, and I was NOT drunk when I experienced that, well, um, experience.MarukiTheFaceHater 23:44, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
- Researched, and it turned out to be some sort of Glitch with the early Version of the game, as of the actual Version, not reproduceable at all.MarukiTheFaceHater (talk) 16:18, 26 September 2012 (GMT)
Claw Attacks[edit]
The table provides info on the strength of attacks (apparently bite attacks); however they also deal claw attacks per Skyrim:Cats_of_Skyrim, and the book also references a "particularly powerful" pouncing attack. Strength data on these should be added to the table. --JR (talk) 01:27, 5 February 2013 (GMT)
location of vale sabre cats[edit]
For myself, I can only find vale sabre cats in Darkfall Passage. I am not sure if they can be found in Forgotten Vale(just some vale dears and a frost troll in the forest near the exit of Darkfall Passage). As a matter of fact, these sabre cats in Darkfall Passage won't respawn and it may lead to the completely disappear of vale sabre cats in the game. — Unsigned comment by Dreamshadow (talk • contribs) at 04:44 on 22 March 2013 (GMT)
- There is one when you first enter the Forgotten Vale. — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 04:55, 22 March 2013 (GMT)

- It seems that this one won't respawn... I'm not quite sure. Dreamshadow (talk) 05:14, 22 March 2013 (GMT)
- The reason for this bug is that Vale Sabre Cats do not have the respawn flags checked in the game data. It is being addressed in the UDGP 2.0, which is still in beta. This bug also applies to the base game sabre cats and snowy sabre cats (see conversation in the below topic). --Blackpete (talk) 04:56, 17 October 2013 (GMT)
Respawn or not in 1.9?[edit]
I've heard that sabre cats don't respawn in 1.9. Anybody else notice this can confirm? 108.184.61.25 07:13, 7 July 2013 (GMT)
- Do you mean that they can't randomly spawn in the wilderness, or that fixed locations for them do not respawn (if such locations even exist)? I have definitely randomly encountered them in the wilderness since the patch. --Xyzzy Talk 16:37, 20 July 2013 (GMT)
- I can confirm this bug [1]. The cause is that (regular) Sabre Cats, Snowy Sabre Cats, and Vale Sabre Cats (Dawnguard) do not have the respawn flag checked in the game data. This problem has been around since at least 1.3 (if not since day one). I reported this to the USKP team and Arthmoor stated that he is adding it to the USKP 2.0 (which is currently in beta testing). --Blackpete (talk) 01:47, 10 October 2013 (GMT)
Sabre Cat Opening Doors[edit]
In Lost Knife Hideout, the Sabre Cat locked up in there has the ability to open unlocked doors, including the door to its cage once it is unlocked. Is this true for all Sabre Cats, or is this just an easter egg/glitch?--Malcolm Mach (talk) 18:55, 22 July 2013 (GMT)
- I have noticed this too. One time, a sabre cat followed me into the Loreius Farmhouse, so this may be a bug. --Blackpete (talk) 04:22, 11 October 2013 (GMT)
- Any NPC or creature can follow you through a door that changes zones if they are close to you when you activate it. This is not a bug. If you are seeing a cage door open and releasing a cat, are you sure it's not a door that is operated by a remote switch? I don't recall if this dungeon has one of these, and the article isn't really clear, but I'm sure I've seen a location where a cage door was remotely opened. --Xyzzy Talk 13:19, 11 October 2013 (GMT)
- No, it's not one of those. However I don't remember seeing the sabre cat let itself out of the cage in Lost Knife, which I've run through a few times. Are you sure it wasn't one of the bandits opening the door? Once you unlock the door the cat turns hostile to the bandits, and they try to attack it. --Morrolan (talk) 13:25, 11 October 2013 (GMT)
