Redlinks[edit]

It would be useful if we could have redirect pages to here from the non-existent individual set pages (e.g., Night's Silence). — Unsigned comment by Swordmage (talkcontribs) at 04:57 on 14 April 2014‎

In time they will all be there, though many or all will be actual pages. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 14:24, 14 April 2014 (GMT)
I've added pages for all the craftables at least. DewiMorgan (talk) 22:23, 7 August 2014 (GMT)

Effect Values[edit]

For the effects that have a range of values, I'm not sure if more specific information needs to be on the main page (or how best to present it) but it's still useful, so I'll put it here. All are in the format Item Level:Effect Value

Sets vs Crafting Sets[edit]

Should the sets that are craftable be distinguished from those which could only be found (e.g. Shrouded Armor Set)? Perhaps a page "Sets" could have links to different pages with "Craftable sets" and "Non-craftable Sets"? ~ Shuryard (talk) 20:19, 30 May 2014 (GMT)

Splitting this page might be wise. That's a hella lot of sets. —Legoless (talk)

Changed set bonuses in patch v1.3.3[edit]

Here's the new set bonuses for the crafted sets in the beginning and second alliance zones. I tried to update it myself but I couldn't get the table format correct with the bigger row spans.
Death's Wind
2 Items: Adds 4 - 157 (item level dependent) Armor.
3 Items: Adds 3 - 118 (item level dependent) Max Health.
4 Items: Adds 3 - 118 (item level dependent) Max Health.
5 Items: If struck by a melee attack while below 35% health, nearby enemies are knocked back and stunned for 4 seconds. This effect can only happen once every 30 seconds.
Night's Silence
Note: Levels 1 and 4 only display bonuses for 2, 4, and 5 items.
2 Items: Adds 2 - 78 (item level dependent) Max Stamina.
3 Items: Adds 1 - 10 (item level dependent) Stamina Recovery.
4 Items: Adds 4% Weapon Critical.

I have entered these for you. The rowspans really just need to be doubled, since there are twice as many bonus rows for each set. Also, when the lowest levels lack a bonus, we've just recorded it as adding 0-X of that bonus instead of 1-X. I believe that the three Recovery bonuses and Spell/Weapon Damage are the bonuses that are 0 for the lowest levels. Quantheory (talk) 03:26, 6 August 2014 (GMT)
I've gone round all the crafting stations and updated the rest to be current to 1.3. (or is it 1.3.3?). DewiMorgan (talk) 22:27, 7 August 2014 (GMT)
Thanks! I suppose that it's 1.3.0 if you count the test server, 1.3.3 if you only count patches that were on the main servers. Quantheory (talk) 06:46, 12 August 2014 (GMT)

Columns on the Lower Table[edit]

What in Oblivion are the numbers, including those in parentheses, in the "Set Items" column supposed to represent? This definitely needs some explanation or reworking. Deandra (talk) 18:06, 8 December 2014 (GMT)

Also, do we really need a "Traits" column here? Or rather, do we want this column to list the number of traits required to craft a set? This information is already in the crafted sets table above, and doesn't apply to any dropped or pvp sets (which are the vast majority of listed sets). On the other hand, I think it would perhaps be useful to list which traits are found on the sets' pieces for non-crafted sets. Deandra (talk) 19:39, 8 December 2014 (GMT)

Set Summaries From Mined Item Data[edit]

The parsed set summary data from item data logged from ESO is available at esoitem.uesp.net/viewlog.php?record=setSummary. The data was just updated and will be likely updated after any large update. -- Daveh (talk) 12:00, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

That's great, thank you! I'll start updating Craftable Sets first and then, if nobody else is interested, Dropped Sets.  ~Shuryard (talk) 16:08, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Actually, our Craftable Sets page is up to date. I'll start working on the dropped ones then. However, I have a question first. The maximum stats that are given in the table are for Veteran15 level, which is not possible to get in the game. For instance, Hat of Adroitness. Do we go with the mined numbers or with the maximum possible in-game numbers, e.g., Hat of Adroitness?  ~Shuryard (talk) 16:23, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
I would say max possible in-game. --Enodoc (talk) 22:29, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Actually, we should probably stick to the [x]-method of listing bonuses, e.g., "Adds [x] Spell Resistance", for dropped and PvP sets. For instance, there are no level 1 Adroitness pieces of normal quality, so there is no point in listing them. Also, I believe we still don't have any way figuring out the exact level range for each set to be able to specify the numbers.  ~Shuryard (talk) 00:14, 6 June 2015 (UTC)
Yeah that would make sense. I'm not sure if it would be useful, but it's also possible with {{Item Link}} to set it to display a summary, which shows the min and max values out of all possible qualities and levels, eg: Arm Cops of Ashen Grip. Note that changing the quality won't affect the summary output (although you may want to do it anyway so that items are the "right colour"). --Enodoc (talk) 11:41, 6 June 2015 (UTC)

Monster Helm Sets[edit]

Although technically the Monster Helm sets are dropped, it would be a bit of a disservice to lump them in with the rest of that list. Would it be appropriate to give them a separate article, or should they just have their own section on the dropped sets page? —Legoless (talk) 16:26, 26 June 2015 (UTC)

I believe a separate section on the Dropped Sets page should suffice. Do we have some of the pieces in the database already? I cannot find any.  ~Shuryard (talk) 00:24, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
I looked earlier and found some. I think the daedroth helm? —Legoless (talk) 00:33, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Are they items from 2-piece sets, like these: Gargoyle Helm, Harvester Helm and Spider Daedra Shoulder?  ~Shuryard (talk) 02:27, 27 June 2015 (UTC)
Those aren't the right names or icons. Maw of the Infernal's Arm Cops is one. —Legoless (talk) 02:38, 27 June 2015 (UTC)

Proposal to reclassify all sets[edit]

With update 12, all sets are being reworked and the way you obtain them has changed as well. According to the patch notes, there are now 6 main classes of sets:

  • Crafted
  • Overland
  • Dungeon
  • Trial
  • Arena
  • PVP

I think we should rename our current pages to match these, since "reward" and "dropped" are largely unhelpful terms as well. We could prabably keep the "monster set" page as they seem to be in their own type. Thoughts? Contraptions (talk) 13:00, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

Seems good, although which of these do Tel Var sets fall under? PvP? —Legoless (talk) 13:57, 4 September 2016 (UTC)
That's under PVP, together with AP sets. Contraptions (talk) 14:16, 4 September 2016 (UTC)

() I've started creating the pages. For the set pages, would it be better to separate the table by zone/place (like the arena set page), or simply have a alphabetical list (like the current overland set page)? Feedback is welcome. Contraptions (talk) 16:00, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

I think by zone is better. That's more useful to the user, in my opinion, though if others feel differently, I'm not opposed to alphabetically. Jeancey (talk) 16:18, 10 September 2016 (UTC)
If it's staying in a table, then if the table were made sortable by name or location, both are covered :) --Enodoc (talk) 22:12, 10 September 2016 (UTC)

Jewelry/Weapon sets[edit]

This page is lacking a section on the jewelry and weapon sets (i.e. _____ of Willpower/Agility/etc). These should be added to the list. — Unsigned comment by Solae (talkcontribs) at 20:15 on 22 December 2016 (UTC)

That's really weird. We seem to have the set pages, but they're just not categorised here... —Legoless (talk) 20:25, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
Trying to do the work... Igx31 (talk) 05:37, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
I'd propose instead calling them "Jewelry sets" (rather than "weapon sets"), because while you cannot make a full set from weapons, you can with jewelry. KINMUNETALK﴿ 05:46, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
They are being called "Weapon sets" on other ESO information pages. But OK to rename them to Jewelry/Weapon sets, to comply with the original request. Igx31 (talk) 06:36, 9 April 2017 (UTC)
Not really happy with the result, since the page itself was not renamed, and I don't know how to do it. Can you do it yourself ? Igx31 (talk) 06:48, 9 April 2017 (UTC)

Updating to Horns of the Reach patch[edit]

I am going through all the set bonuses and updating them to new numbers brought by Horns of the Reach patch. I am a little confused about patch numbering though. It says in the sets pages they need a cleanup for patch number 15. What is patch 15? StoneCold14 (talk) 13:27, 13 September 2017 (UTC)

Two Handed Weapons from Sets[edit]

When I equip Naryu's Sniper's Bow, my Night Mother's Embrace Set is 6/5. When I equip a different bow, it drops to 4/5. This makes me suspect that two handed set weapons count as two set pieces. Do we have any knowledge / confirmation on this? If so, we should add some kind of note to the page to let people know about this. Thanks. Minotaur (talk) 20:31, 16 March 2019 (UTC)

I talked to some people, and yes, this is the case. It appears to have happened in patch 4.0.5 (Summerset). "Two Handed, Bow, Destruction Staff, and Restoration Staff weapons now count for two pieces towards any item set bonus. Rejoice!" Jeancey (talk) 21:07, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
