Trynhild Earth-Turner

Trynhild Earth-Turner is a Nord and the daughter of Denskar and Aera Earth-Turner, and is Littrek Earth-Turner's sister.

She aspires to become a smith, and is apprenticed to blacksmith Maesa. Trynhild finds that smithing is a great way to work out her frustrations, especially on days when a local fisher, Otroggar, makes unwanted advances towards her. She also admires Maesa's strength, and seeks to emulate her mentor's musculature. She seems to find water safe, as she hides near the Bleakrock docks during Sparking the Flame. She remembers swimming in the surf.

If you do not help Captain Rana at the docks during Crossroads Trynhild will die. If she survives the Covenant attack she will move to Bal Foyen and can later be found in Kragenmoor.

Related Quests[edit]

Quest-Related Events[edit]

A Beginning at Bleakrock[edit]

You can find her in the center of town, listening to Tillrani Snow-Bourne.

"I'm glad you're awake. When Holsgar brought you in, everyone thought for sure you'd die"
Are you a blacksmith?
"Ha! Do I look like one? I'm glad you have to ask.
I'm just Maesa's apprentice … so far, anyway. She's been teaching me for about a year now."
Do you enjoy the work?
"Oh, yes. We start with a lump of metal and end up with something useful. Horseshoes and nails and swords and whatnot.
I hear there are other kinds of crafters on the mainland, but I'd never be anything but a smith."
Why not?
"Have you seen the size of Maesa's arms? Holsgar says she once punched out a mammoth.
Smithing is a great way to let out frustration, especially after Otroggar comes over. "
Who's Otroggar?
"He's a fisherman. Fisher-lad. He stops by every day to see me.
He's always making dirty comments. Someday, my da's going to hurt him."

The Missing of Bleakrock[edit]

After you completed the quest, she thinks retreating is pointless:

"Why should we run? Can't we fight them?
Why is everyone so worried? we are Nords and they aren't."

Sparking the Flame[edit]

Trynhild can be found hiding behind a boat by the beach while the Covenant burns down Bleakrock Village:

"Tillrani told us to run. I thought of the water and all those calm days in the surf. What was I thinking?"
Your family is gathering at the tomb. Quick! Run!
"Yes, my family. I should go to them. Here I go!"

Speaking with her by the tomb:

"I'm going to kill Covenant soldiers. They let you do that in the Pact army.
If I have to, I'll just buy an axe and start walking west."

Escape From Bleakrock[edit]

After you disabled the traps in Last Rest, she will be amongst the refugees to cross safely.

Speaking with her safely on the shores of Dhalmora after the escape:

"I'm going to join up, and nothing Mother says will stop me.
I'm not too young. I can hold a sword. I'm ready to fight. I'm better than my daft brother Littrek, anyway."

If By Sea[edit]

When you have to go to the dockyards to acquire kindlepitch, she will relocate the location and will be geared up for the incoming battle. She will be sparring with Rolunda. You cannot interact with her at this time.

Breaking the Tide[edit]

Help Sergeant Seyne and she'll send you to find Trynhild. You'll find her in a storehouse, slumped against the wall:

"I fell fighting beside Captain Rana. She hid me here and ran onto the ship.
She's after the Covenant commander. He's the one who burned Bleakrock."
I'll go help her.
"Don't let her die alone.
Fight well. Kill that bastard."

After helping Rana at the docks, she will be injured and slumped on the ground:

"I'll be fine don't worry. The surgeon will get me patched right up."

If you choose not to defend the docks and return after completing Zerin in Peril, you will find Trynhild dead on the bridge with Rolunda. They both put up a last stand against the Daggerfall forces.

Davon's Watch[edit]

If she survived at the docks, you can talk to her in Davon's Watch.

"My Pa and brother are dead. I can't believe it.
I can't imagine what my mother must be feeling."

Ebonheart[edit]

She can be found outside the Ebonheart city walls in a camp with the other Bleackrock survivors.

"It's hard to take in a big city like this. Look at it all.
Did you see the Hist Tree? Kind of amazing."

Kragenmoor[edit]

She can be found standing next to Rolunda at the Mages Guild.

"Oh, hey! Good to see you again.
Have you seen what those mages can do? Saw one pull a Daedra out of thin air. Wish I had that kind of power."
