Keeper Keel-Lurash

Keeper Keel-Lurash is an Argonian Keeper of the Shell, tasked with tending to the eggs found at the Hatching Pools. She is highly knowledgeable, demonstrating awareness of the events at Percolating Mire and the Forsaken Hamlet. She also has a tendency to speak in extended metaphors, trusting others to grasp her meaning. She is found near a pile of dead Aldmeri Dominion soldiers; though she has little enthusiasm for reclaiming lost territory (describing it as "conquest"), she is willing and able to defend herself.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

Before the quest, you can speak to her while she's tending to the Hist tree after dispatching Dominion soldiers:

"The kagouti thought themselves clever to coat their tusks with poison, but the Tree knows all. Its roots will soon feed on the kagouti who burned its blood."
Did you kill these Dominion soldiers?
"The kagouti think the guar won't bite off the tusk that strikes it. Now the kagouti are brought down to the mud."
Why not drive them out of the Hatching Pools?
"The guar seeks reeds to fill its belly. A gully in which to wallow. These are what the guar needs.
Leave conquest for the kagouti."

After you tested out the poultice on a plant and you head over to her to give her the instructions, she describes Aldmeri Dominion's military tactics and makes reference to events occurring all over Shadowfen:

"The kagouti walk amongst the guar, but do not hunt unless the guar strays from her herd. Then wooden wasps would fly, bringing the guar down to the mud."
The Dominion created poultices to harm the hist.
"The kagouti gore the Hist to drink its sap. In the Hamlet, a Tree dies screaming. In the Mire, a Tree goes mad.
The guar watch the kagouti, but do not understand."
These instructions should explain.
"A weapon once gifted to the wasp-children! Bound in blood, it slips through the Hist's dreams. Tree-blood burns, and Tree dies a lonely death, removed from its sisters.
The guar thanks the mighty wamasu for its mercy."

If you exit the conversation before turning in the quest, she will alternatively say:

"The guar watches carefully. What are the mighty wamasu's intentions?"
<Hand over the instructions.> (Leads to quest completion dialogue)

After the quest, she is aware that the Dominion (compared to kagouti) prefer to have their archers kill Argonian civilians (compared to guar) when the latter are alone or undefended; she is also aware that the Dominion have been tapping Hist trees for their sap, causing disasters at the Forsaken Hamlet and Percolating Mire. She thanks the player by comparing them to the (in)famously strong wamasu. Her conversation continues past quest completion.

"The kagouti thought themselves clever to coat their tusks with poison, but the Tree knows all. Its roots will soon feed on the kagouti who burned its blood."
