Orange Glitch[edit]

I ran into a glitch in the PC version of the game, where the shipwreck appears to be glowing nuclear orange. I sorta got scared and ran away after seeing that, but I was wondering if I'm the only one who's ever experienced that, and if there's a fix. --Somercy 09:41, 10 June 2011 (UTC)

I've certainly never seen anything like that myself, and it's difficult to guess what it could be. Was it a lighting effect, or was the colour of the ship itself changed? rpeh •TCE 09:44, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I think it was the ship itself, but I'll be checking later today or tomorrow. --Somercy 10:00, 10 June 2011 (UTC)
I have experienced this as well, but it only turns orange when I'm looking at parts of it i.e the hatch on the deck. I also noticed that a bridge in the distance and some random barrels etc also go nuclear at the same time. what is this? 124.150.91.129 08:40, 5 February 2012 (UTC) Mundoid
This is most likely a glitch in the video card drivers or result from a corrupted installation. To me it sounds like textures aren't being loaded in, although if the texture is missing the game normally uses a substitute texture, so I'm leaning towards a driver issue. It's safe to try a different video driver from the video card manufacturer's website. If you have the latest drivers, try an older version from the computer company's website (e.g. Dell's). Rename[edit]

Currently "Mouth of the Panther" redirects to here. But the map marker ingame is named "Mouth of the Panther". CSList does find nothing named "The Mouth of the Panther" - where does that name com from? --Alfwyn (talk) 22:55, 16 January 2013 (GMT)

I would support a rename. Jeancey (talk) 23:02, 16 January 2013 (GMT)
(edit conflict) Looking in the CS, while it's always referred to as "the Mouth of the Panther" in dialogue (sometimes without the caps), the "the" is never capitalized except at the start of a sentence. In fact, when quotes are used in a couple of places, they only surround "mouth of the panther", even though there's a "the" right in front of it. To me, that says this should be moved to Mouth of the Panther, and the "the" is a language artifact so that sentences flow better. Robin Hood  (talk) 23:05, 16 January 2013 (GMT)
