A catalogue of my additions to the list entry pages. Shoutout to Tarponpet for his many tweaks. Not including transclusions, only those I've typed and cited out.

Lore:People[edit]

Amiel Septim (3E? b - 3E? d)[edit]

Son of Emperor Uriel II, brother to Pelagius II and Galana. During 3E 80, he met with an Archmagister of the Mages Guild in Firsthold.[1]

Prince Camaron (fl. 3E 432)[edit]

Camaron was the prince of Daggerfall following the Warp in the West. He was born to King Gothryd and Queen Abuk-i, whose marriage established peace between Daggerfall and Sentinel. Replicating this maneuver, Camaron married Lady Kelmena of Camlorn, seeking to establish a unified kingdom along the western coast of Tamriel.[2]

Hrolfdir (?b - 4E ?d)[edit]

Hrolfdir was the Jarl of Markarth and the father of Igmund. He was pressured by the Thalmor to arrest Ulfric Stormcloak after the Markarth Incident.[3][4] He was remembered as an active leader, one who would not sit idly by while evil men took over his lands. After the Markarth Incident, he attempted to negotiate with the remaining Reachman separatists, now calling themselves the Forsworn. He was killed in the process, though not by the Reachmen. Eventually, the Forsworn gave his shield to one of their hagraven matrons as a trophy.[4][5]

Quintus Varus (?b - 3E 427)[edit]

Quintus Varus was an Imperial warden of Stormhold prison and a reputed lunatic.[6] He ruled as warden circa 3E 427,[UOL 1] forcing his prisoners to dig for crystals, which he valued. He planned to locate the Storm Crystal, a large crystal capable of holding large amounts of corruption, and use it to store all the evil in the Empire, titling himself the Slayer of Evil.[7] Though he found the crystal, it was unable to store all of the Empire's evil.[8] Varus would meet his end by the hand of his own prisoner, who he nicknamed the Master Tunnel Rat.[7]

Tutor Riparius (?b - ?d)[edit]

Tutor Riparius is a being created by Demiprince Fa-Nuit-Hen to tend for his needs. He assumes the form of Dremora, though he also was referred to as a factotum. He assists the Demiprince with his memory issues when he dreams and physically changes as with his requirements, even creating clones of himself.[9] He possesses advanced scrying capabilities, having knowledge of Tiber Septim's ascension centuries before it occured.[10]

Banshee[edit]

Banshees are obscure creatures renowned for their deafening scream.[11][12] The spell "Ice Banshee" is named after them.[13]

Bat Lizard[edit]

Bat lizards are said to be a species of flying creature encountered by Topal the Pilot in the Merethic Era. They were found on a forested island theorized to be Gorne. They possessed leathered wings and grew to be the size of ships. While some think the creatures to have been Dragons, it is theorized that they are a now-extinct ancestor to the cliff racer.[14]

Caterpillar[edit]

Caterpillars are minuscule, many-legged[15] larval insects found throughout Tamriel which eat leaves.[16] They can sport a variety of colors and patterns, including green,[16] orange and purple stripes,[17] yellow, and red.[18] Types of caterpillar are often incredibly diverse from one another, with some possessing furry backs[18] and others having up to sixteen eyes.[19] In nature, they are preyed upon by robins,[16] while Argonians are known to prepare them in their cuisine[15] and beverages.[18] Bosmer smoke caterpillars through bone pipes.[20] Inferniums closely resemble large caterpillars.[21]

At some point in a caterpillar's life, they develop a cacoon,[22] from which a butterfly or moth may emerge.[17] Caterpillar farms can be found in Black Marsh, where they are raised to till they become moths and butterflies to be eaten.[17] Silks may also be harvested from caterpillar farms, which are spun into rough linens.[23]

Cricket[edit]

Crickets are small insects[24] renowned for their spryness.[25] They are known to loudly chirp.[26] In Orsinium, small house crickets are kept in cages for good luck.[27] "Crispy cricket legs" is an expression used to convey frustration.[28]

Duck[edit]

Ducks are waterfowl who typically reside in the lakes among the reeds.[29] Their young are known as 'ducklings', and have yellow feet.[30] They are common game birds, with their feathers being used for pillows[31] and, in conjunction with their leather, high-end coats.[32] They are also hunted for food, with duck breast, tongue, and eyes being high class meals in Imperial cuisine.[33][34] One method of hunting involves the usage of duck calls, whistles made to emulate the sounds of ducks.[35]

Flea[edit]

Fleas are small[36] parasitic insects notorious for their uncleanliness. They swarm and bite larger creatures.[37][38] They are said to have been carried by Werewolves[39] and refugees to the Iliac Bay in 2E 582.[40] Ticks are said to prey upon them.[41]

Hyena[edit]

Hyenas are animals found within Grahtwood.[42] They are known for their vicious cackle, a description sometimes used as an insult.[43]

Jill[edit]

Jills are mythical beings, said to fix the world during Dragon Breaks.[44] According to legend, Jills were among Ysgramor's Five Hundred Companions.[UOL 2] Some sources describe them as female Dragons.[UOL 3][UOL 4] Female Dragons are also mentioned in the historical-fiction, King Edward.[45]

Melusanae[edit]

The Melusanae is a mythical feminine creature said to inhabit Stros M'Kai. According to legend, they lure ships to wreck on jagged shoals, then consume the souls of those aboard. Scholars regard them as fictitious folk tales, particularly when compared to the similar, credibly accounted Wispmother of Skyrim.[46]

Moose[edit]

Moose are large animals with tough but dull horns.[47] They are deemed an impressive hunting kill, their remains are used for leather or mounted taxidermy.[48]

Mosquito[edit]

Mosquitoes are minuscule insects which can be found across Tamriel.[49][50][51] They possess delicate eyebrows,[52] a thorax, and a proboscis[53] which they use to bite.[54] Kotu Gava are a giant species of mosquito.[53][55]

Porcupine[edit]

Porcupines are small[56] rodents, known for their spines which become erect when they are agitated.[57] They were the namesake of various inns and taverns in the late Third Era.[58]

Shrew[edit]

Shrews are small rodents. The skulls of giant shrews have been used in adornment.[59] The word shrew is used as an insult for women.[60]

Tick[edit]

Ticks are small parasitic arachnids capable of spreading disease that can be found in fields.[61] They eat fleas[62] and suck the blood of larger creatures.[63] Hoarvors are a giant species of tick.[64]

Weasel[edit]

Weasels are small mammals known for their erratic defensive reaction when cornered.[65][66] Their bones are used to make small cages.[67] They are the subject of common insults used to label one a coward.[68]

Weevil[edit]

Weevils are a type of insect that infest crops. Snag-weevils are a species that infested the farmlands of Glenumbra around 2E 582. They were warded off by Enzo Chatillon's award-winning alchemical solution.[69] Leaf-weevils are another species.

Wombat[edit]

Wombats are a species of marsupials, said to have been kept as pets. One of the tales about Ius, the God of Animals, revolves around a wombat.[70]

Wyvern[edit]

Wyverns are fire-breathing creatures of doubtful existence. According to a dubious tale, those born to a Dragon and a mortal can turn into a wyvern during a full moon.[71] The spell "Wyvern's Sting" is named after them.[72]

Bardmont[edit]

Bardmont was a town in Skyrim, located south of Dawnstar. Circa 2E 283, Potentate Versidue-Shaie gathered the Imperial Council in the town and declared martial and Imperial law.[73]

Blighted Isle[edit]

Blighted Isle is a island within the Bjoulsae River in Bangkorai. Circa 2E 582, the isle was infested with Reach-magic.[74]

Driftwood Isle[edit]

Driftwood Isle is a small tidal island west of Solstheim.[75]

Isle of Red Mist[edit]

The Isle of Red Mist, also known as the Isle of the Red Mist, was among the places visited by the infamous Captain Wereshark in the Second Era. The isle was inhabited by criminals and cannibals, who practiced graphic rituals and worshipped ancient matrons of the sea. By the time Captain Wereshark and his crew had rescued several painted cannibals from the island, it was ruled by the Queen of Bones, Crackteeth.[76]

Vengheto[edit]

Vengheto was a duchy in the Third Era, during the reign of Empress Katariah. It was ruled by a Duke, Thane Minglumire, a member of the Imperial Council, who took a particular delight in exposing all of the Empress's lack of practical knowledge.[77]

Azura's Crystal[edit]

Azura's Crystal

Azura's Crystal is an artifact of Azura. It is capable of capturing Daedric essences, acting as a prison for the vestige and preventing the Daedra from returning to Oblivion. After being 'charged' by a captured essence, the Crystal can be used as a power source for magical devices such as Void Keys.

Book of the Time[edit]

The Book of the Time is a book once held by Queen Nulfaga of Daggerfall. It possesses powerful Sight abilities, allowing the reader to glimpse future events. It was used by the Agent shortly before the Warp in the West, predicting the events of the phenomenon with astonishing accuracy.

Rat-god[edit]

The Rat-god was an obscure Khajitti deity worshipped during the Imperial Simulacrum in the late Third Era.[78] Some sources refer to their followers as the "sand devils".[UOL 5]
