Dialogue[edit]
- Greetings:
- "What? What do you want? I'm much too busy, %pcrank. Unless you're here for duties. Then I might be able to make some use of you."
- "Yes? What do you need? I don't have any more duties for you. Your help was very appreciated and so on."
- the BALROG:
- "It's a prototype arcana reactor. The first of its kind. In crude terms, the BALROG processes the souls of summoned Daedra into raw magicka, which it produces in great quantities. The process is quite delicate, and the reactor must be vigilantly maintained to ensure these energies remain contained. The stodgy old guildmasters in Cyrodiil couldn't see the value of my work, so I took my talents to Morrowind, where fresh thinking is in higher demand. Now the spellcrafters here are reaping the benefits."
- Background:
- "I'm %Name. I keep the BALROG running smoothly. It's a very involved job, so I would rather keep this brief."
- duties:
- "I need somebody to operate the BALROG while I take notes. Do you think you can manage it?"
- Little Secret:
- "I do wonder sometimes if we are taking full advantage of the BALROG's capabilities. The mages here are harvesting only a fraction of the machine's actual arcane output, and only intermittently at that. Personally, I'd like to try and wire up some prototype applications. Think about it, %PCName -- the Guild could light up Narsis without a single candle, or throw arcs of arcane energy at the Empire's enemies. Though I suppose we'd have to find a more efficient way to supply the BALROG with fuel..."
