Potions[edit]

I'm not the IP who changed the page, but I can vouch for his claims. I've never had Siddgeir give me armor, just potions. Vicano (talk) 10:55, 19 August 2013 (GMT)

The Rare Gifts page lists potions as well. I'm not actually sure how to check that in the CK. Vely►t►e 19:01, 19 August 2013 (GMT)
That's bizarre, because the CK clearly shows armor. I'll double-check it in game and with the CK and see if I can figure out what's going on. Robin Hood  (talk) 20:54, 19 August 2013 (GMT)
Got it. Changes to the relevant pages done. Robin Hood  (talk) 22:39, 19 August 2013 (GMT)

Obtain Siddgeir's Refined Tunic[edit]

Discussion moved from User_talk:Alphabetface

If I reverse-pickpocket Siddgeir with Daedric armor, if I leave Falkreath Hold for 30 in-game days, will Siddgeir have equipped the Daedric armor due to it being better than his 0 armor Refined tunic? I want to know because I would like to get his refined tunic on Xbox. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 12:23, 29 August 2013 (GMT)

Anyone know? Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 15:59, 29 August 2013 (GMT)
If you want to know, why don't you try it? I'm not trying to be wise about it at all. If you want to know something, why don't you just try it for yourself instead of having somebody else do it for you? •WoahBro►talk 17:17, 29 August 2013 (GMT)
I just mean that if it works, it will be a new exploit of obtaining Jarl's clothing. And maybe Torygg's robe too. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 18:15, 29 August 2013 (GMT)
I don't think non-follower NPCs like Siddgeir will equip armor that you reverse-pickpocket to them, though I admit that I've never tried it. As WoahBro said, your best bet would be to test it for yourself, though I realize that it's much easier for PC players to test things like this. If I remember, I'll test it out in the next few days. --Xyzzy Talk 20:14, 29 August 2013 (GMT)
Okay then. Guard of DragonsSpeak To Me 21:00, 29 August 2013 (GMT)

() Tried it with Laila last week but it didn't work. Somehow whenever you pickpocket a weapon off someone they automatically equip another one in their inventory. Weird. This may need a second person to verify though. DRAGON GUARD(TALK) 09:23, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

Non-Follower NPCs always equip the best weapon in their inventory (at least what they consider to be the best), but stay true to their predefined Tes5Mod:Mod File Format/OTFToutfit. -- SarthesArai Talk 10:45, 1 May 2016 (UTC)

No Thane dialogue?[edit]

So I received a letter from a courier that said the Jarl of Falkreath wanted to see me about becoming Thane. I then went to Falkreath and Siddgeir doesn't have any dialogue option that could make me the Thane. All he has are his two basic ones; how his inexperience makes his job difficult and another one which I can't remember. What do I do? 86.152.132.69 07:23, 31 October 2013 (GMT)

According to the notes on Kill the Bandit Leader, if you have any other "kill the leader" type of quest active for a bandit location, it may be blocking the quest that the letter should trigger, so check that first (though I just checked in my own game, and that didn't make any difference). Also, make sure you've finished Build Your Own Home in Hjaalmarch and the Pale. The next most likely possibility is that you've done something to annoy Siddgeir since you received the letter. Maybe you committed a crime in front of him or something? I'm not sure what could actually cause that. If that's the case, you may not be able to get the quest to continue. Try doing one of the favour quests for Falkreath, like chopping wood at Half-Moon Mill and see if that helps. If all of that fails, and you're on a PC, let me know and I'll get you to send me your saved game so I can have a closer look. Robin Hood  (talk) 09:29, 31 October 2013 (GMT)
I did the dark brotherhood quest to kill Helvard already. Could that affect the quest being triggered? KaidaThyme (talk) 02:08, 23 May 2014 (GMT)
I actually encountered this just recently in my new Anniversary Edition Playthrough, I did some quests, got the letter after hitting level 9 and some time later walked to Falkreath to get the Lakeview Manor. But like you Siddgeir did not want to talk to me about the letter even though the quest marker was on him. After hours of research I found out that not progressing the main quest will effectively block you in this regard. In my case it was the Bleak Falls Barrow stage 3. My intention was to not progress the game to Dragon Rising so the dragons wont appear. So I stopped Bleak Falls Barrow at stage 1. Then I encountered the problem with Sidgeir. I solved this by talking to Farengar Secret-Fire to progress Bleak Falls Barrow. But I did not give him the Dragon tablet so the quest was at stage 3. And afterwards Siddgeir had the option to talk about the Kill the Bandit Leader quest. This does not seem to correspond to his friendhsip level though, I checked his friendship level between stages 1 - 3 of Bleak Falls Barrow and it was 1:Friendly all the time. So I think this is a hard-coded progression block.

Mistake[edit]

"[...]and Thadgeir, who tends the local graveyard." He chops wood and hangs out at the inn. I don't think he ever goes to the graveyard because he has the quest to take the ashes to the priest, which would be kind of redundant if he went there himself. 73.41.109.23 16:47, 31 January 2015 (GMT)

You're right, so I went and changed that. You are always free to do so yourself if you see an error like this. Thanks for bringing it up ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 17:04, 31 January 2015 (GMT)
