Marriage

I was also unable to marry him when I tried. I'm not sure what the requirement to marry him is but he doesn't seem to have a quest or any way to raise his disposition towards you, it is possibly a bug. — Kimi the Elf ^{(talk | contribs)} 07:15, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Have you done the quest to rid the mine of frost spiders? I imagine that might raise his disposition, since all the miners seem pretty grateful afterwards... or it could indeed be a bug/someone incorrectly listing him as marriable. Weroj^{Talk Contribs} 09:22, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

I brought this up a long time ago on the Marriage talk page, and the only response said they couldn't marry him either. I remember trying to marry him after clearing the mine of spiders, but it didn't work. No one listed him incorrectly as marriageable, as he is definitely in the "PotentialMarriageFaction" according to CSList, but it does seem to be bugged. Between this and the fact that he claims to be wielding Rocksplinter, I'm guessing Odfel is another victim of chopped content-- meaning there was a means to raise his disposition for marriage by way of a favor (with the actual Rocksplinter intended to be the PC's reward).174.0.116.189 08:21, 19 August 2012 (UTC)

Rocksplinter

He now carries Rocksplinter as of Unofficial Skyrim Patch v1.2.7. I added that to this page and in Rocksplinter's section on the Unique Items page. I've seen Unofficial Skyrim Patch fixes put on other pages, so I went ahead and added it to these two pages.
