Location[edit]

The page currently notes that the ledger is in the dungeon; it's actually in the steward's room.--Shadowgm 09:42, 4 December 2011 (UTC)

Flawed premise[edit]

Does it bother anyone else that the premise of this entire quest is flawed? The justice system in Skyrim is hold-specific. I can walk into Solitude, slaughter half the town, then move to Whiterun and the locals authorities will leave me be. The premise of this quest is counter to that. Does that warrant a note? --Irrevenant (talk) 07:59, 1 January 2013 (GMT)

That's not quite true, there are two random encounters based on having a large bounty in a hold that you haven't visited in a while. See Bounty Collector and Bounty Hunters. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 12:48, 1 January 2013 (GMT)
that if anything only supports the holds being separate. they didn't write a letter to the hold you encounter it in and its bountyhunters not guards. — Unsigned comment by 24.38.217.116 (talk) at 15:31 on 22 September 2013

Entered Jarl's quarters without Bleak Falls Barrow[edit]

The article states that, should Bleak Falls Barrow be incomplete, you should take the alternate route through the servants' quarters. However, I have done this quest I don't even know how many times without completing Bleak Falls Barrow, and i just strolled through Dragonsreach like I owned the place to do so. Also, stealing things, but that's beside the point.

I'm not sure if the prerequisite for gaining access to the Jarl's room of Dragonsreach through the main door upstairs is completing Before the Storm, or if it's delivering the sword to Proventus, because I do those at the same time, but after that point you can go unharassed wherever you like in Dragonsreach. 107.201.180.90 16:27, 31 October 2013 (GMT)

You can access the Jarl's room before, its just about being allowed to go there (i.e. not trespassing), and I suspect raising Proventus' disposition through delivering the sword is what allows you to be trusted to walk where you want. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 18:49, 31 October 2013 (GMT)

Delvin Glitch[edit]

Occasionally, whenever the Ragged Flagon resets, I get the option to tell him that I have Completed the Special Whiterun Job, & he gives me the same dialogue, even though I’ve already told him about it ages ago. Anyone know why this happens or how to fix it? Kalarus (talk) 21:11, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
