Two Staffs[edit]

There is a bug multiple people have talked about and I experienced myself on PS3, where you can get Halldir's Staff off both his body and the ground after you kill him, netting you 2 boss items. BabyKiller209 06:17, 18 November 2011 (UTC)

Unconfirmed bug[edit]

From main page "If you sneak attack Halldir before he sees you and spawns his clones, they will remain stuck in the wall (detect dead/aura whisper will show them) and you will be unable to wait "because enemies are near". Halldir's Cairn will still show up as cleared though. (PS3)[verification needed — Can anyone else confirm?]"

I just ran through this with a PS3 and this did NOT happen. 100% Sneak, Ring & Necklace each 40% Sneak. They never saw me, i.e. eye stayed almost closed. One arrow main guy to 99% (or so) dead, Ice guy 1 arrow, Fire guy 1 arrow, finished off Spark guy. All spawned in the correct place on the raised platforms. Did a wait to test and it was fine. Update 1.4 done. This sounds like an isolated case rather than a general bug unless it was fixed on the last update but not noted on the fix release list. I don't feel comfortable removing this from the main page though. If an Admin of the site could handle that? Thanks. Philbert 22:41, 11 February 2012 (UTC)

I could not reproduce this bug either, after several attempts. Removed from list of bugs on article. --Reka 10:48, 15 March 2012 (UTC)
I was able to reproduce this just now, on 360, patch 1.4. If you KILL Halldir with a sneak attack, then the clones do not spawn. MondoJuju 22:38, 1 April 2012 (UTC)

amended items[edit]

Think these amended items should be listed as random not leveled, as if it was purely leveled they would all have appeared as their highest leveled items due to the level of the character playing. Can someone check the CK for me and adjust accordingly. I try repeating places before completing pages, but if I luck out and get the same leveled items twice I assume specific. Is there a better way for me (playing on a ps3) to check? Biffa (talk) 22:26, 30 November 2013 (GMT)

Questionable Bug[edit]

"One of the white cap patches in the catacombs cannot be harvested."

I know there are some mushrooms that can't be harvested, but (if I remember right) aren't regular sized, shaped, and or not really patches at all. Since I haven't played Skyrim in awhile, I really can't remember. Does anyone know if this is an actual bug or some sort of common occurrence? •WoahBro►talk 21:30, 22 January 2015 (GMT)

Quick Disappearance of Clones[edit]

Ok, the reverts are way too quick and with no discussion!

I added information in the bug section about about how quick the clones disappear (5-10 seconds) and it was reverted away with out even moving it here so a discussion could occur on the matter. I feel this page IS the appropriate place for that information. The only question is, should it be in the Notes section or the Bugs section. And, as with many of these types of finds, it should be verified.

[Added] Reason: Anyone doing the quest will kill the clones thinking, like all other dead bodies, they will stay around to loot later. Since the ghostly clones disappear so quickly they may believe they are unlootable. Its doubtful they will drill down further yet this is valid information they should know.. I think that this information is suitable for Halldir's page, so I moved it there instead. Also, it's not the responsibility for anyone who reverts to give a talk page post explaining why. You did the right thing: You disagreed with the revert and you took it to the talk page (which by the way, I really appreciate that you didn't flip out or anything, really!). •WoahBro►talk 22:40, 7 March 2015 (GMT)
Your welcome :) I would have shot you an email but I don't know how in this forum so this was the best method I know of and it obviously works :) Thanks for moving it btw (even though I still think it should be here LOL) - Also, thanks for clarifying how to start a discussion when there's this type disagreement, i.e. the talk pages. Invisible uninteractable ghosts in the cairn?[edit]

In the cairn I found a couple NPCs/entities labelled "Ghost". They are completely invisible, do not move and are non-hostile even directly attacked - hitting them causes them to say the normal ghost attack/taking damage lines, but they never actually become visible or do anything. They can die and it results in the typical "ghostly remains" pile and animation. If you are sneaking, you can pull up the pickpocket interface, but they carry nothing. If you walk up to one, the "talk" action appears, but does nothing if you try to talk to them. The "ghosts", however, can detect you when sneaking and this will trigger any hostiles nearby to see you as well, although they will not attack. They also appear to prevent the PC from moving through them. Should this be put in notes/bugs? They are not the clones, they are in the area before Halldir.

Ive seen a few references to them in Skyrim forums, but nothing here. Does anyone else have more info? I think its worthy of inclusion, I have found them on multiple playthroughs in the same spots. I am running the Steam Legendary Edition, with the high res texture pack and all of the most recent official and unofficial patches, no other 3rd party mods besides the high res texture pack and unofficial legendary (all DLC)patch. I have taken screenshots of one as well as its location. 73.254.54.45 04:40, 4 March 2016 (UTC)
