Argonians don't mind[edit]

Page says, "Although the door to enter it has a master lock, the Argonians don't mind if you enter the building," but I have not found this to be true. Picking the lock results in some Argonians inside saying things like "You're not supposed to be in here" and "Don't make me call the guards!" and even if there's a quest-related NPC inside, they won't give you any dialogue. There does seem to be hours of operation (but they aren't normal 8am-8pm hours that most other places hold) when the door is unlocked and you can engage in regular dialogue. Possibly only Argonians can enter outside regular business hours. — Unsigned comment by 75.89.128.167 (talk) on 6 December 2011

I second that. I was most certainly not welcome here. I'll take it out for now. --Ulkomaalainen 11:36, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
It seems they tell you to leave when they catch you having broken into the building. The weird thing is that having unlocked the door, they actually come outside, leading me to think somehow they're not able to open this door if it's locked (because I have never seen the two Argonians, the supposed leader and the junkie, before, only after breaking in, and this having unlocked the door). I'm also fairly sure that when you re-enter (still unlocked), they don't seem to mind you being there anymore. Anyone experiencing similar occurences? ~ Dwarfmp 23:48, 27 January 2012 (UTC)
I married Scouts-Many-Marshes and he is the only one who doesn't mind me being in there. The rest just stand around saying "You need to leave.". On PS3. BTW it means that I can't wait or sleep in the assemblage for the resting bonus near your spouce. Playing a male Argonian. — Unsigned comment by 68.3.102.250 (talk) at 11:43 on 4 June 2012
On my game, (360, fully patched), Shahvee and Neetrenaza are outside on the docks during the day, while the two other quest-giving Argonians never seem to poke their snouts outside. I was able to do Shahvee's Favor Quest without having to break in to the Assemblage. Afterwards, even though the Assemblage's door remains perpetually locked, I broke in and none of the Argonians were hostile or mentioned anything about trespassing. I was free to take anything I wanted from the Assemblage, although there isn't anything of value.
As far as the swift relocking of the Assemblage door and any/all Argonian Dock Workers being perpetually shut-in, I believe what's happening here are two separate glitches. The continuous resetting of the constantly-locked door to the Assemblage is one glitch. It locks again as soon as you leave the Docks and enter Windhelm. (Even though the Docks are technically part of Windhelm, they belong to a Skyrim outdoor world cell, much like the cell separation between the Riften Docks/Fishery and Riften Settlement itself.)
The second glitch seems to affect the individual Assemblage occupants or their Keys to the Assemblage, and seems to be randomized as to who is or isn't affected. All four Assemblage occupants carry a Key to the Assemblage's door, so having it locked shouldn't prevent any of them from opening the door and heading outdoors. Like I said, two of my Argonian NPCs work on the Docks as they should, (and therefore possess functioning Keys), while others here have said none of their NPCs ever step outside. Seriously[edit]

What asshole decided that including full biographies of NPCs on place pages was a good idea? — Unsigned comment by 85.210.10.116 (talk) at 22:40 on 24 June 2012

That would be me, and I spent a lot of time doing that, and you have absolutely no reason to delete it, especially by being immature about it. That was probably a much worse idea. --SlyKhajiit 21:42, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
If you have a problem, discuss it. Do not break our etiquette policy. The Silencer speaksTalk 21:43, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

NPC info goes on NPC pages. This isn't an NPC page so fuck off with your idiotic fucking changes.— Unsigned comment by 85.210.10.116 (talk) on 21:4724 June 2012
Well i'm not sure if it belongs there myself, but i do think you should be more polite with what you say. this is a friendly community and your just going to end up blocked like this ... — Kimi the Elf (talk | contribs) 21:48, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
I couldn't give a flying fuck whether I get blocked or not. Stop polluting articles with shit that doesn't belong. Simples. — Unsigned comment by 85.210.10.116 (talk) at 22:50 on 24 June 2012
"Also, I have my own personal justification for adding the information. I think the people residing in a place are just as important as the place itself. Without them, it would just be an empty shell. Beisdes, it was a good space-filler." I just posted that, don't know what happened to it. Anyways, if you think it is pollution simply leave it alone, and add onto the actual place description if you think you can extend it in a positive way. Or you could petition for its removal in a positive, less childish way. --SlyKhajiit 21:53, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

() I'm bringing this up again, hopefully in a less demeaning manner than the friendly anon. NPC information simply doesn't belong on a place page. If no one objects, I'll move the section here off the main article. —Legoless 14:54, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

I was meaning to bring this up again as well... I definitely agree that this information should be moved from this page (as a bit of the information provided doesn't appear to be on the main articles). Having two articles with overviews of these NPCs is redundant. While I personally like how it look here, I just don't think we need so much information relevant to the residents on this page. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 14:57, 27 June 2012 (UTC)

() I've moved it here and replaced it with a standard residents table. —Legoless 18:29, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Neetrenaza is a mild-mannered resident of the assemblage who is generally rude to the player unless they are also an Argonian. He is the only one of the four dock workers who does not offer a quest. Neetrenaza spends most of the day alternating between working on the armor workbench and the grindstone. At nightfall, he retires to the assemblage as all of the other workers do. You guys are right, it shouldn't really be there. But I really feel like I wasted all of my time doing that work. --SlyKhajiit 19:17, 28 June 2012 (UTC)
Sly, you did a great job in terms of how the page looked and the content within, so don't feel like it was a waste. Sometimes doing things like this is the best way to learn and develop as a site contributor. Might I suggest looking over these three pages for some more guidelines on what's expected on various types of articles? Another idea would be to look at the various articles in the Oblivion namespace as those are probably the most detailed and up-to-(current)-standards, or to look at some of the previous featured articles for examples of what's typically expected. And please don't be discouraged, you have been making valuable contributions to the site! ABCface 20:24, 28 June 2012 (UTC)

Safe containers?[edit]

Assuming I marry either Shahvee or Scouts-Many-Marshes, are any containers inside this location are safe to store my belongings?  Airos  ( Talk  Contribs  Email ) 01:26, 17 December 2012 (GMT)

I know this is a necro-post, but I'll just leave here as a note to other viewers that all dressers, cupboards, and end tables are marked as non-respawning on the Creation Kit, so they are most likely safe to my knowledge. This is also noted on the article. AlphaAbsol (talk) 07:36, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Invisible and undetected in sneak mode: "You're not supposed to be in here..."[edit]

I was given a quest to pick pocket one of the guys inside the Argoinan Assemblage so was invisible, had pick pocketed the key to get in, and had very high sneak skill and perks, yet Argonians present were rudely wanting to call the guards, etc. So I quickly went up to the target and grabbed his loot safely, then ran away invisible again out the door. I consider this a bug similar to how some guards detect the undetectable then talk directly with the Dragon Born while supposedly undetected... Guards when talking have the dialog menu up with response choices, but when you B-exit the dialog menu, they often get poor dispositions, angry, etc, then begin saying "Where are you???"--while I'm still invisible in sneak mode. 198.91.176.251 00:37, 10 December 2019 (GMT)
