For players that had not purchased Saints & Seducers, Thorn Hook was an unobtainable ingredient added to Update.esm by Special Edition Patch 1.5.97. For those that did purchase Saints & Seducers, it was available and obtainable with the same patch. Later, Saints & Seducers became free content for all players of Skyrim Special Edition.
Thorn Hook previously appeared in the Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion.
