Maxelle Carsitien

Maxelle Carsitien is a Breton member of the Thieves Guild in Abah's Landing. She has a particular love of explosions and admired Velsa's skill so much that she joined the Guild to learn from her.

Maxelle can be found in the main chamber, leaning against some crates. She will open with one of the following greetings:

"I don't care who takes over the guild, as long as they supply me with components and let me build things that go boom.
I've been working on a mechanical bird with an explosive inside. Impractical? Probably. Dramatic and flashy? Most definitely!"
"I'm not half as good at alchemy as Velsa, but I'm better than anyone else you've ever met. I don't know why people don't like her. Sure, she's abrasive, but so are most of the chemicals I work with."
"Do you like explosions? I just love explosions! All the bright colors and loud noises. It's so exciting
And fire. I positively adore fire! The way it dances, the way it burns. And fiery explosions? Well, those set my toes all atingle!"
What do you think about Velsa's return?
"It's brilliant, that's what it is! I joined the guild because of Velsa, you know. Hoped to learn whatever she was willing to teach me, but every time I asked a question she threatened to defoliate my head.
I'm glad she's back though."
Do you consider Zeira to be a good guildmaster?
"Well, she's no legend like Nicolas was. But then again, nobody is. We all miss him terribly.
Zeira, on the other hand, she's one of us. She isn't afraid to get her hands dirty. I appreciate that in my guildmaster."
Do any interesting jobs lately?
"Funny you should ask about that. I just finished building a device to help Brucus get into his uncle's vault. I hope he heeds my advice and stands well clear of the door after he sets it. I may have been a bit heavy with the kindlepitch."
