Screenshot[edit]

Surely it is not impossible for someone to get a better screenshot of this fellow? The one on there now is very small. A close up of his face, while still showing a portion of his clothing, would be preferable. I'd do it, but my game is on the 360, no PC

Done. Is that one better? –RpehTCE 04:03, 10 August 2008 (EDT)
uhh well i didn't see the first version but that one could still get better? like imagine a close up portrait of his face. with his shoulders showing. that way you cn see the face and a portion of the clothing — Unsigned comment by Repeater (talkcontribs) on 30 March 2009
The current screenshot is in our standard format, which was reached following many rounds of images and discussions. Many people want to see more than just the NPC's face. You can zoom in on the image if you want to see more details of his face, but it is impossible to zoom out from a close-up if you want to see the whole character. Therefore the current format is more flexible and useful to all readers. --NepheleTalk 12:24, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

those formulas[edit]

could somebody please check those formulas to make sure they are correct? just wondering — Unsigned comment by Repeater (talkcontribs) on 30 March 2009

I don't see any reason why the formulas should be checked. The formulas were automatically generated based upon the formulas for NPC Statistics, using Hindaril's race, gender, and class. Unless you have a reason to believe the formulas are incorrect, then why should I waste my time redoing a difficult set of calculations, especially since redoing the calculations by hand is far less likely to produce a correct answer than the original computer-generated calculations? --NepheleTalk 12:24, 30 March 2009 (EDT)

Removed bogus bug with disappearing corpse[edit]

I removed the following: "If you clear Redwater Slough before starting Vampire Cure and kill Hindaril without taking his ashes from his body, Hindaril's body will disappear the next time the cell resets, leaving you unable to acquire his ashes, thus breaking the Vampire Cure quest."

This was pointed out as false to me by another modder after it appeared in the upcoming UOP changelog. He had already tested and corpses with quest items in their inventory do not disappear.

I verified this by deactivating all mods, starting a new game, going to and killing Hindaril, then going elsewhere and waiting >72 hours for the cell to reset. I tried this three times to make sure and his corpse did not disappear. When I then removed the ashes and waited >72 hours elsewhere once, it did disappear.

Ashes stuck in inventory[edit]

If you kill Hindaril and loot his ashes before you ever get the quest, the ashes will stay in your inventory forever, unless you get the quest and then use them. The good news is that they don't weigh anything. --HunterZ (talk) 01:57, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
