FrancoisMotierreQuestFaction[edit]

Contrary to the recent addition, based on the scripting, my speculation would be that FrancoisMotierreQuestFaction was created so that the guards would not arrest the player while s/he was in Francois Motierre's house. This later proved to be unreliable or unnecessary so they changed ownership of his house from the faction to NONE, but never removed the now-redundant code. Given that the scripting tests for whether or not you're in his house and the variable being updated is called "NoGuards", the seems quite likely. For now, I'm reverting the speculation - if someone else could second my interpretation of the code in Dark05AssasinatedScript, I'll add this info to the page.

Also, if the editor who added the info has a source for his speculation, a link or copy of the explanation would be appreciated, as I agree with the statement that the purpose isn't entirely clear, and the above is only guesswork. —Robin Hood (TalkE-mailContribs) 02:40, 24 November 2009 (UTC)
