Undetected[edit]

This Ayleid structure is simply a large catacomb, containing 2 connected chambers of 20 tombs each. Possibly a large powerful Ayleid family was buried here. Anyhow, if you'd like to avoid the zombies altogether, make sure you have a bow on hand. When entering the room containing the statue, walk along the walls, until you reach the opposite corner of the room. Shoot an arrow at the statue and it should roll to the opposite side near the room's exit. The zombies are only triggered if you walk into the middle of the room.

Furthermore, if you have high acrobatics (I was fortified to 120) you can skip the trip up the stairs to get to the coffer resting on the small bridge. If you time your jump correctly you can activate the coffer and grab the contents (In case you forgot to do this beforehand and zombies are chasing you) — Unsigned comment by 209.134.75.234 (talk) at 22:33 on 29 May 2008 (GMT)

Corrected location of ruin[edit]

moved from Oblivion talk:Culotte/Description due to pending deletion --GKtalk2me 21:55, 27 January 2010 (UTC)

I changed the description of the location of the ruin so that it is more precise. The previous description was too general and led me off track. Dr. Morbius 22:02, 26 July 2008 (EDT)

Except the description page is not supposed to provide exact directions. The description pages all use a consistent format for the locations, namely direction relative to the closest city. The descriptions are kept minimal in length and details because they are used in so many places: if we gave full details of a place's size, location, inhabitants, quest relationship, etc. on the description page, then the description would no longer be a useful, easy-to-digest summary. Detailed location information belongs on the actual place page, namely in the "Location" section of the infobox on Oblivion:Culotte. --NepheleTalk 00:09, 27 July 2008 (EDT)
Then how about saying that "it lays southeast of the Imperial City." That's more accurate than saying it lays between Bravil and IC. Dr. Morbius 00:04, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Except that, as the crow flies at least, it's much closer to Bravil than the IC. I suppose saying "north of Bravil" would be most accurate, though it doesn't tell you that it's on the east bank of the Niben. Still, the Location box on the page does give specific directions, as well as a link to the map showing exactly where it is, so I think we've done enough. --TheRealLurlock Talk 00:41, 29 July 2008 (EDT)
Typical. I was changing it while you were posting that. I agree that "between IC and Bravil" is misleading and I'd go with the IC as the primary location reference simply because it's larger and, although slightly further away, is more likely to be a reference for most people. –RpehTCE 00:48, 29 July 2008 (EDT)

Meaning of Culotte[edit]

Is it worth mentioning "Culotte" means panties in French ? A joke from the Bethesda team ? — Unsigned comment by 79.80.106.9 (talk) at 13:54 on February 20, 2011

I can't see anything that would imply that, other than the name itself. If you make multiple location names, its bound to be some that sound like words in other languages. --DKong27 Talk Cont 19:09, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
This has been added and deleted from the page several times before. It's just coincidence. rpeh •TCE 01:02, 21 February 2011 (UTC)
