Boner Droz in his shop Colovian Traders

Boner Droz is a Breton trader who runs Colovian Traders, a general store in Leyawiin. He also offers Speechcraft training.

Boner wakes up at 8am every morning and goes straight downstairs to open his shop. He closes up at 8pm, goes home and eats dinner for three hours, then spends an hour relaxing before going to bed at midnight.

He wears a blue silk shirt and pants, gold-trimmed shoes, a gold necklace, and a gold sapphire ring; he carries some raisin bread, a large amount of gold and key to his quarters.

Boner lives in a small apartment above the shop. The main room is a living/dining area with a round dining table and three chairs in the middle. A chest of drawers, a bookcase crammed with books, and a shelf of silver dishes sit against three walls; a couch sits around the corner from a fireplace on the fourth. A door leads out to a balcony overlooking the street. A doorway leads to the bedroom, where he has a double bed, armoire, and an upholstered chair and table.

Boner is one of the merchants you'll have to question in regards to Bertrand Lumier's disappearance (see Trust Questioned), though he can't tell you much of any use:

Bertrand Lumier: "Yes, I know him. We talked. Although our companies are not members of a trade union, they are not competitors either. So Bertrand Lumier came to see me. As a rule, we exchanged news and talked a little about the politics of the Empire in general. And that is all."

Where should I look?: I don't know. If he went his usual way, then he definitely took his favourite [sic] stallion from the stable. He called it thunder. Bertrand always rode it. Check whether he took Thunder. Ask at the Five Riders Stables, see if Atahba or Cat-Face knows something."

Jacques: Yes, his nephew was with him. Bertrand even wanted to send Jacques to study with me. But his family in Skingrad did not approve. I haven't seen him for a long time.

Did he have any enemies?: "Who doesn't have them! But Bertrand, he just had no serious enemies. Stanus Orius had a minor dispute with him but lost interest, and the rest - such minor things. Riffraff."

Competitors?: "Of course. Yes, you should have already been told. But that is just a concern for the heads of the companies. Bertrand himself is too insignificant."

Intimidated: "Bertrand? Doubtful. He is certainly not a hero, but he is not a coward either. Experienced, he does not get lost in stressful situations. No, hardly."
