Welcome[edit]

Hello Pizzahut! Welcome to the wiki. I hope you enjoy using the site and find the information on it useful. If you decide you want to help improve any of our pages, we're always welcoming to new editors so feel free. You might want to look at our Getting Started page for some tips on how to begin, then play in our Sandbox for a while to practice. If you need any help or advice, please ask me or one of our mentors. Enjoy! --SerCenKing Talk 14:09, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

Testing[edit]

While we always welcome new editors, might I please suggest that you use our Sandbox to test your editing skills rather than producing a string of continous, small edits (or 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6). The 'Show Preview' button is also a good resource to avoid filling up Recent Changes with edits. Also, might I suggest you search the site for an article before creating it? The newly created Oblivion:Soultrap is useless; since we already have Oblivion:Soul Trap. This is why I proposed your article for deletion and Nephele then changed it to a Redirect. Thanks. --SerCenKing Talk 14:25, 12 May 2009 (EDT)

Knives, forks, spoons and sweetcakes[edit]

Honestly, I don't think anybody needs to learn what a knife is. Also, the main namespace is not meant for articles -- articles are supposed to be created in the relevant namespace section, for example Lore: or Oblivion:. --Gez 15:39, 13 May 2009 (EDT)

New Articles[edit]

Could you please be more careful before creating new articles? The articles you've created so far have been very unnecessary and therefore have just created a lot of work for other editors on the site to clean up the articles. Before creating an article you should always use the search box (found on the upper left of every article on the site) to see whether an article on the topic already exists. Furthermore, it's best to assume that at this point we have all the articles for every possible Oblivion topic, so if your search fails, it's more likely to mean that you mistyped the name (as in the case of Oblivion:Soultrap). We already have articles for Knife, Fork, and Spoon, which is far more than is necessary for such trivial items. I'm going to speedily delete the new articles you've created for these items because your new articles are redundant, were created in the wrong namespace, and, most importantly, they are interfering with the site's search engine, making it impossible for readers to find the correct articles. --NepheleTalk 15:40, 13 May 2009 (EDT)

Editing Help[edit]

I saw you asked for some help editing articles. I know Guildknight already answered a great deal, but I would like to point out some things as well. You don't have to contribute of course, but it would certainly be approved. You could always correct simple spelling/grammar mistakes or revert edits made by vandals. Or you could help us in the ONPCRP project by filling in dialogues, schedules and much more. Just make sure you read the guidelines! The important thing is: You must not feel obliged to contribute, but we always welcome new editors.

I'm just trying to help you! I hope you see it that way. Wolok gro-Barok 17:40, 23 May 2009 (EDT)
