Followers[edit]

While I'm pretty sure you can't use the console to make followers, I know of two ways to get them.

  • 1) Create 3 spells-2 different ones that cause 100% Weakness to Magicka, and the third one a Command Humanoid/Creature spell. Cast the first two over and over alternatively, because casting the same one over and over again just overwrites the effect. After you have casted the two spells for a decent amount of time (The more you cast them the longer the follower will stay with you) cast the Command spell. Because the target has an incredible Weakness to Magicka because of the two spells, the Command spell duration is multiplied by A LOT. While this doesn't make the follower permanent, you can easily do this over again when it runs out.
  • 2) Get the mod Companion Share and Recruit. It is an amazing mod. When you first install it you will have a quest to talk to a person in the Arcane University. He will send you on a quest to get the other 3 'generals', whom will follow you whenever you want after you find them. The best part though, is that you also get some spells with this mod. 'Companion Order' Lets you recruit an unrecruited person (Their disposition towards you must be over 80) or lets you give orders to current followers, such as wait somewhere (You get a preset list of places to meet but you can add more). Also, if a person's disposition is above 80, you can cast 'Companion Share', which is the best part of the mod in my opinion. What is does is first brings up the target's inventory. You can take anything they have, and put anything on them, even if it has weight, which means you can equip anyone with a disposition of 80 or higher with anything you have, letting you dress your followers and even non followers up in armor you find suitable.

Frankly, the second option is much better because it gives you direct control over your followers such as giving orders or equipping them in armor and weapons you think they should have. If you don't want to install a mod, though, the first option is your best bet.

Hope that helps! Figgy 21:27, 11 May 2008 (EDT)
