Dark Awakening

Second Seed 12 , 3E435 10:29 pm

Today was a normal day, I visited the Market District for some food. There is a dagger I've been saving for for months, but as I am a petty begger, gold is hard to come by. But today, I decided to do something wild and went down to the Elven Gardens sewers and killed a goblin with my bare hands! This goblin dropped a iron shortsword and was using a rough leather sheild and was wearing a leather helmet. I looted his body and came back to the city to sell my loot and I got 100 gold coins for the lot! Pleased with myself, I headed back to my secret savings spot in The Imperial City, a hollowed out log behind Stonewall Sheilds. After I got my gold, I headed to Calilndil, at The Mystic Emporium, who was selling an enchanted dagger, with 10 points of fire damage for 5 seconds, very cheaply. He's a good friend of mine, and sold me the dagger with 50% off. So I decided to purchase a spell, for protection, called Flare. For buying so many wares from him, he gave me a free common soul gem, equipped with a common soul. I left the shop, happy with my new magical items, and I went to the sewers to test them. This time there was a mage-like goblin in the sewers, weilding a staff that shoots shock damage 5 points. At first I was scared but then I remembered my new weapon. I approached the goblin, with my new dagger in hand, and slit him once. Immedietly it recoiled and fell to the ground, as it writhed in pain, I couldnt help but feel a little sorry for it, but it soon died. I left, sad I didnt use my Flare spell, but happy with the power I now wielded. Well now its time for sleep, and I will write soon tomorrow tomorrow .

The sons of ... ! I was earning my living by begging , and two rich enough looking men were walking by , when I asked them to share a coin please , they pushed me down and hailed me with insults while spitting on me . Today I was begging by the stables , and the men were leaving the city , so I decided to get the men back , I was sick of being pushed around . The men were heading to an ayleid ruin , to find a woman with a sword called Umbra . The woman was also supposed to have armour made of very expensive ebony . The sword probably wasnt real and neither was the woman but if the men wanted to die by ayleid traps then thats what they could have . I plan to hide outside the ruin for the night , wait for the men to come back , hit one from a distance with flare , and attack the other one with my dagger . They deserved it , picking on an innocent beggar like that .

YES ! I got the men back . I was sitting outside the ruin , when a man who I did not see enter the ruin , come out . The man was wearing dark ebony armour and in his sheath , he had a longsword with a strange purplish glow . The man had a limp on his left leg and looked injured . As he got closer , I recognised him as one of the men from earlier , it looked like he had defeated the woman and the tale was true . He approached me , and asked me to balance him , and I did , for i thought of a plan . I was supporting him and I was acting as a friend when I let him go and he fell to the ground , he couldnt get up and when he asked me to help I refused . When he saw me drawing my dagger from its sheath , he became scared and began begging to me not to kill him , of course i refused but when I tried to strike his armour , the blade simply bounced off its smooth surface . He began laughing because his life was not taken , but we were only beginning . The blade had no more power so I decided to use my soul gem . But I didnt have it , I searched all my pockets and couldnt find it , so I thought I would play with him a bit . First I took off his boots , and cut off his toes , and then his feet . He was pleading , so I told him if he gave me his armour and his sword , I would let him go . He refused so I pulled off his gauntlets and began cutting off his fingers , but at this , he agreed to give me his armour . I said I would let him go , but did I ? No . As I stabbed the man in the eyes and put on his armour , I dumped his body in lake Rumare . Thinking about murdering the man , I remember feeling cold , dark , and powerful .

Failure ! I was seen dumping the body in the lake . I've had to flee the city . But the guards did not see my face , as my helmet was covering it . I have escaped this one narrowly , and I believe this to be my last chance . But for now , it is time for me to sleep .
