Playing Morrowind is one of my primary hobbies, and if my computer could handle it maybe I would also play Oblivion or Daggerfall.

In Morrowind my main characters' name is Talaryn Falaris. He is a noble Dunmer, high ranking in Great House Redoran, and he has discovered he is the Nerevarine. Talaryn feels very responsible for his Great House. It is hard to gain his trust, but he will fight to the death for the ones he names as friends. He is very honorable, and he totally agrees with the contest of the book "The True Noble's Code", which is written by a dear friend. Talaryn doesn't go anywhere without the book. Talaryn's primary skills are long blade, heavy armor, block, restoration and destruction.

Talaryn is fascinated with the Dwemer. He collects every book and scroll and little piece of information (good talks with old' Yagrum) about the mysterious race, and when he's bored he enters a Dwemer Ruin to collect their clutter. Collection (Click to see screenshot.)

After freelancing a while, exploring caves and ruines and the like (and helping powerful Daedra Princes), he moved to Mournhold because he was attacked by several members of the "Dark Brotherhood". He went to their base and freed the world of their honorless existence.

When every member of the Dark Brotherhood was dead, Talaryn met the goddess Almalexia, and he helped her with the dangerous tasks she gave him. He acquired his own legendary blade, Trueflame, the blade of Nerevar. Talaryn then went into the Clockwork City of the mad god Sotha Sil, only to find him dead there. Almalexia appeared and said she was the one who murdered Sotha Sil, and she attacked Talaryn. After a tough fight he took the Mazed Band off her body, and barely alive he went back to the city.

Talaryn lived in Mournhold for a while, to rest and to restore his powers. His left arm was injured so he couldn't bear his shield, and he also had a head injury where Hopesfire hit him. The temple healer, Gavas Drin, didn't allow him to do anything outside the city walls, or go into the sewers of Mournhold. So Talaryn walked around Mournhold, talked to everybody and did a few quests for the local people.

He promised Torasa Aram to bring the artifacts he found in Vvardenfell on his next visit. He played a role in a play. He even helped a lonely woman to find a nice man; Sunel Hlas was the best potential husband he could find. Talaryn also gave some money to a beggar named Gaenor, "Have a coin, friend" but he kept asking for more and more money, and even tried to attack him when Talaryns pocket money ran out. Talaryn had to run away, since he didn't bring Trueflame with him, and also could not cast spells because of his head injury.

Finally, Gavas Drin allowed Talaryn to go home. He said goodbye to King Helseth, to Tienius, to Queen Barenziah and to Plinitius Mero, and asked Effe-Tei to bring him to Vvardenfell. Back there, he went straight to his stronghold and home in the Ashlands, Indarys Manor.

At this point, my Morrowind disk broke. Shit! I had to buy a new one (very happy to see there was a map included in the Game of the Year edition) but I wasn't able to install the expansions.

So, unfortunately, you -and I- can only dream about the further adventures of Talaryn Falaris. Recently he heared something about a cold Island in the North named Solstheim...

And, never forget: A light, careless life is not worth living.
