Any thoughts on what the policy should be for archiving this page? I just moved off all the 2006 threads to archive pages, as this was getting fairly long. (It's also kind of out of chronological order, and many posters forget to sign their questions here, so it's often hard to tell when certain threads happened.) I'm thinking any threads older than say 3 months should be archived, especially if there's been no new replies for a while. We might also consider putting certain things into a FAQ, since many people are too lazy to search the archives for info. (Of course they might be too lazy to search for a FAQ too, but if we keep it prominently linked at the top of this page, it could help.) --TheRealLurlock Talk 10:01, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
- Yeah, it definitely was in need of some archiving; three months works for me. My feeling about a new FAQ page is that it seems likely to end up overlapping with content elsewhere on the wiki. One random thought is that perhaps pages like Oblivion:Tips or Shivering:Hints could be changed into more of a FAQ format, and then linked to from here. I know there are various problems with Oblivion:Tips (name confusion with Oblivion:Hints, not clear what's supposed to be there, etc.) which could perhaps be addressed by changing it into a FAQ. A few of the tips probably wouldn't belong there any more (move them to the talk page until a better home can be found?) but most of the tips are basically FAQs: How can I kill Umbra? Where are good places to go for loot? How can I get easy money? What is leveling? How do I pick a lock? How can I increase a skill? Just an idea. --Nephele 16:30, 5 April 2007 (EDT)
Light the Dragonfire- End of main quest
Does anyone know what is wrong with the end of the main quest when you go into the Temple of the One,as my game is just stuck and nothing will happen? The big guy and Martin just stand still and do nothing. I have done everything, restart, dumb down everything, but it just will not play this scene no matter what I do. Can some one help, as I can go no farther until this scene plays out?
I am puzzled on what order questions should be archived when they have been answered at a later date. For example, a question was asked January 2008 and then it was answered in February 2008. Which month should it be archived to? The month it was asked or the month it was answered? Thanks. --Matthewest •T•C•E• 01:34, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
- I personally always archive it according to the original question. I don't think that there's a set-in-stone rule for it though. - Game LordTalk|Contribs 13:44, 14 April 2009 (EDT)
Its hard for me to figure out how to get help or answers to questions. This site is a great dictonary or reference site wile playing. But hard to get simple answers or simple find what im looking for sometimes. I saw something about a chat bord that is supposed to make things faster. Was that correct or am I remembering this wrong?
Ps is there a page set up explaining how to use your system. Like marking pages and finding the users that are experts at the game. Ive read it can be dont but cant figure out exactly how.
oh please send me a message if you decide to answer my questions thanks. 188.8.131.52 05:19, 29 September 2011 (UTC) froggy
I have been trying to spice up my user page, and am looking for images. I won't plagiarize, and I'm on PS3 so I can't upload my own. Is there an image vault, or a category page with lists of all available photos? I can't find one anywhere.--Grim765 23:16, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
- Check out Category:Images. It has subcategories which in turn also have subcategories, so you can figure out what type of thing you want in the image, what game it's from, etc. You can also check out the Featured Images page. Vely►Talk►Email 23:21, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
Shouts will not unlock
I have been playing for a while; lots of quests done lots of words of power found. I have 48 dragon souls. I hover over the shout and hit X (xbox) and all it says is I need dragon souls to unlock it, even after hitting x repeatedly I am still unable to unlock any shouts that I didnt receive from npcs. — Unsigned comment by 184.108.40.206 (talk) at 15:58 on 28 February 2013
