Dagger Bug[edit]

There is serious bug here. Just after you sell dagger, go out and come back afterwhile and ask him about Droth Dagger. He'll just keep demanding the dagger even you have already had given it to him. It happened so I have had MS_Estate index on 80 instead of 70. janmojzis — Unsigned comment by Janmojzis (talkcontribs) at 21:34 on 14 January 2009 (UTC)

The Journal Update bug actually works out to a bit of a cheat. Should you use the console to add the dagger [silver dagger_droth_unique] to your inventory, you can sell it to Geon infinitely at 800 per.
...of course, if you're going to go that far, you might as well add the money to your inventory directly and skip the middleman. This way just makes an annoying glitch fun for about 5 minutes. ;p — Unsigned comment by 76.177.206.198 (talk) at 04:28 on 10 March 2012

Greeting Bug[edit]

(moved from the article)

You will not be able to start this quest if you've already completed A Show of Power, as Geon's greeting will be replaced with a generic one regarding the ash storm. It is recommended to start this quest first. Of course, you can always use the console to start the quest: journal "MS_EstateSale" 10 and addtopic "Droth Dagger"

This is true up to a point. I originally {{VN}}ed it, saying "The greeting only applies if the weather is set to Ash Storm and "The Mad God" quest is < stage 100, so that shouldn't be the case after the end of the main quest". Just tested, and this is indeed the case. After the main quest is complete, you can do the quest again. I'm taking it off totally because the same thing affects just about everything else too, and I don't think it's worth mentioning everywhere. rpeh •TCE 13:03, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
It doesn't affect 'just about everything else too,' at least not in my experience. In fact this is the only quest I have been unable to begin or progress with due to the ashstorms, so perhaps this note deserves a place on the page. Even if the ashstorms do affect many other quests, it would still make sense to place a note on all the relevant pages, wouldn't it? --87.115.180.223 10:17, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
No, it wouldn't. It would be far more sensible to place the note on the Show of Power article rather than spamming it everywhere else. rpeh •TCE 11:31, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
Won't this leave some readers confused as there is no explanation on the quest page and they may not have read the Show of Power article? Additionally, which other quests are affected by the ashstorms in this way? If it's only one or two, then it's not really 'spamming,' is it? --87.115.180.223 11:34, 25 December 2011 (UTC)
