I killed Barenziah to see what would happen and accidentially saved. Is her death going to affect the main quest? Dorothy Uvirith 21:08, 20 December 2010 (UTC)

If you are past the Assassination Attempt quest, you might be OK. You are probably better-off reloading though. --Brf 21:42, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
I know this is old, but no killing Barenziah won't affect completing the main quest in any way. Her quests are apart of an optional path in the Main Questline --71.165.236.222 22:23, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Barenziah got old fast[edit]

Elves have long lives this is true but in Daggerfall, Barenziah was beautiful. 38 human years later she ages the elven equivelent of 38 human years in human years, It's kinda depressing. The book also states she has red hair but her young version has black and this version is white. — Unsigned comment by 71.23.17.32 (talk) at 03:12 on 31 August 2011

Well, She also looked more human-ish in Daggerfall. This is like the Morrowind-Oblivion Khajiit difference. The designers have to make graphical changes in every game concerning characters. — Unsigned comment by 76.212.161.24 (talk) at 17:05 on 8 October 2011
I am surprised too by that, especially a kickin' 400year old lady, she looked pretty dang young in Daggerfall. Then again, maybe the developers if they decided to do it again, would make Barenziah have grey hair in Daggerfall too. Just like the Khajiits...took em a few games to get it something they liked --71.165.236.222 22:21, 13 May 2012 (UTC)

Nightingale[edit]

According to the book The Nightingales (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:The_Nightingales), the man named Nightingale who supposedly had a Third Child wasn't Jagar Tharn but rather the master thief Drayven Indoril.

Here's the quote

"In actuality, the individual identified as "the bard Nightingale" was not Jagar Tharn at all. This master of disguise was a Nightingale thief named Drayven Indoril. Jagar Tharn hired Drayven, one of the greatest master thieves in Skyrim, to seduce Barenziah and coerce her into revealing the location of the Staff of Chaos. After the Staff was given to Jagar Tharn, he attempted to eradicate Drayven, but his Nightingale abilities aided his escape. Jagar Tharn searched for Drayven but eventually had to abandon the pursuit in order to enact his plans involving the emperor."

Therefore the part about the third child with "Jagar Tharn" should be changed to "Jagar Tharn or Drayven Indoril" — Unsigned comment by Rhys (talkcontribs) at 19:57 on 13 July 2012
