Tienius Delitian

Tienius Delitian is an Imperial guard and the Captain of the Royal Guard. He can be found in the Royal Palace Throne room, where he gives quite a few quests to protect King Hlaalu Helseth. If you kill a Royal Guard, no matter legally or not, Tienius will give a message saying he will have no dealings with you. However, if you have already started one of his quests, you can still continue by clicking on the relevant quest topic. Barring the helm, Tienius wears a complete set of Royal Guard armor. He also carries the unique and powerfully enchanted Gravedigger with him, as well as five exclusive restore health potions. All of which make him very difficult to kill. On the other hand, the captain does not know any spells.

Quest-Related Events[edit]

A Temple Informant[edit]

  • Discontent in the Temple:
"I don't know much about it. I know there's a rebellious group called the Dissident priests who the Temple have cast out and persecuted as heretics. I also know there are Temple members who disagree with some of the actions and policies of the Temple, but who keep silent and work for change from within. If handled skillfully, a discontented member could be a useful informant on Temple affairs."

During the quest:

"Have you found a Temple informant who can tell us whether the Temple is willing to accept King Helseth -- or whether the Temple plans to act against him?"

After successfully finding an informant and completing the quest:

"You've handled the matter of the Temple informant very well."

Evidence of Conspiracy[edit]

  • Hloggar the Bloody
    • "I don't know where to find him. Like a lot of those Nord louts, he may be too cheap to pay for lodgings. Try looking down below in the sewers." (before Hloggar is located)
    • "He will trouble us no longer." (If Hloggar was killed)
    • "He's escaped? Unfortunate. But he won't be causing us any more trouble." (If Hloggar escaped Mournhold)
  • Forven Berano
    • "He's a faithful Temple-going noble. Look for him in or around the Temple." (before Forven is located)
    • "No one mourns the death of traitors. King Helseth shall learn how well you have served him." (If Forven was killed)
    • "He's escaped? That's regrettable... but not a serious problem." (If Forven escaped Mournhold)

Muckraking Journalist[edit]

  • King Llethan's death
    • "Let me know when you've learned the source of the rumors about King Llethan's death." (during the quest)
    • "So. According to a broadside sheet called 'The Common Tongue', King Helseth poisoned many people in the West, so maybe he poisoned Athyn Llethan. Very interesting. I'd like to see a copy of 'The Common Tongue', if you can bring me one. Thank you. You've done well. But now... we lack sources of information in Almalexia's Temple. Could you help me find a Temple informant?" (If you tell him about The Common Tongue)
    • "You've resolved this matter satisfactorily -- though it would be nice to see a copy of "The Common Tongue"." (after the quest, if you told him about The Common Tongue)
    • "Thank you for bringing me this copy of 'The Common Tongue'. I believe this is indeed the source of the rumors. I see no source or evidence for its speculation -- just vague falsehoods. Thank you. Well done. I'll mention your loyal services and exceptional qualities to King Helseth." (if you bring him The Common Tongue[verification needed])
    • "Thank you for bringing me this copy of 'The Common Tongue'. You found it with Irano's belongings? Interesting. This could well be the source of the rumors. I see no source or evidence for its speculation -- just vague falsehoods. Thank you. Well done. I'll mention your loyal services and exceptional qualities to King Helseth." (if you bring him The Common Tongue: Irano's copy and tell him where you found it)
    • "You've resolved this matter satisfactorily." (After the quest, if you have completed A Temple Informant)
    • "Thank you for bringing me this copy of 'The Common Tongue'. I believe this is indeed the source of the rumors. I see no source or evidence for its speculation -- just vague falsehoods. Thank you. Well done. I'll mention your loyal services and exceptional qualities to King Helseth. And I think we might find you further employment. For example, we lack sources of information in Almalexia's Temple. Could you help me find a Temple informant?" (if you bring him The Common Tongue, but haven't completed A Temple Informant is completed)

An Attack on Mournhold[edit]

  • "I understand you've reported this attack on the city to Fedris Hler. I agree you should investigate the disturbance in the ruins of Bamz-Amschend and seek out the source of the attacks. You may report your findings to me. This is really a matter for the Empire to deal with."
  • investigate the disturbance:
    • "Do as you were told. Investigate the ruins of the Dwemer city that have been unearthed in the Plaza Brindisi Dorom. When you have learned the source of these attacks, report to me. This is a matter for the Empire to handle."
    • "I heard you reported your findings to Hler. I'm disappointed, %PCName. Still, we were able to retrieve the information as well."(if you tell Hler about the Fabricants first)
    • Additional lines for this topic need to be added
  • "I sent you to investigate the disturbance, and you reported your findings to Hler. Disappointing. I have no more official matters to discuss with you, but His Royal Highness King Hlaalu Helseth wishes to speak with you.':

Dialogue[edit]

  • Greetings:
    • "[He looks you over slowly and deliberately.] Excuse me."
    • "[He seems amused, but determined not to speak to you.] I said... EXCUSE ME."
    • "I'm the captain of King Helseth's Royal Guards. Is this an official matter? Or is there something else you want?"
    • "Yes, %PCName. Is this an official matter? Or is there something else you want?"
    • "Your killing of one of my Royal Guards is a matter to be resolved according to the law. But regardless of the law, I refuse to have anything further to do with you."
    • "I have heard about the attack on the city, and I've dispatched guards to take care of it. Thank you for your report. You can help in another way. I'd like you to investigate the disturbance."

  • Dark Brotherhood:
    • "You wish to know who sent the assassins to kill you in your sleep? A reasonable desire. I won't deny my knowledge of it, but I believe it is more important now to speak about an official matter."
  • Helseth:
    • "King Hlaalu Helseth is the Duke of Mournhold, ruler of all Morrowind. You would do well to show him respect."
  • Royal Guard:
    • "I am the leader of the Royal Guards. We live to protect King Helseth. Only the strongest and most loyal were picked by our king to serve. Any who would threaten the monarchy will be dealth [sic] with severely."
  • Talen Vandas:
    • "I knew the man by reputation only. Sounds like he was a good man, but wasn't careful. It's a shame, but it's a dangerous world."
  • Tienius Delitian:
    • "I am Delitian. What do you need?"
  • Barenziah:
    • "Yes, the Queen Mother. Have you spoken with her? You'll usually find her in her chambers here in the palace. An interesting woman. Has the same keen intellect as her son, the king."
    • [If Barenziah was killed] "Barenziah was found dead. The murderer will be brought to justice."
