I tried to complete this quest without using a guide. I could not find Nerasa Veran for the life of me. None of the npcs who mention her will tell you where she is and nobody in town with have her as a dialog option. So I had to resort to cheating to find her.

Then I tried to finish the quest from there and was completely stumped. I thought for certain that my next move would be to pursue the argonian mistress or to visit the land from the deed. I decided to check the guide again rather than just running all over TR looking aimlessly for these locations and was shocked to see that the quest was actually completed. All I had to do was go turn it in to the main quest giver. My character was able to deduce that the two testimonies didn't match up but IRL I had no clue. I think the journal entries from the quest could be a little more helpful and say something along the lines of "So and so's story doesn't match with so-n-so's, perhaps if I presented this information to Belisatha Mede it would be sufficient to prove Casik's innocence?" or anything to indicate that returning to Belisatha is the only remaining step in the quest.

Or maybe I just wasn't intelligent enough to solve it on my own. Either way, didn't really enjoy this one. — Unsigned comment by Iwantyoursmiles (talkcontribs) at 06:18 on 17 August 2023 (UTC)

I do sympathise with this as I remember struggling to work out the next steps when writing the walkthrough for this quest. However, while UESP does document Tamriel Rebuilt content, it's not actually affiliated with the modding team itself - if you want to feed back to them to make them aware of the unclear journal entries, then I would mention it on their Discord or bug tracker (both accessible via the Tamriel Rebuilt website). They won't see feedback here.
(From what I do know however, the quest is going to receive some changes in the upcoming Andaram release - mainly by making characters open up with high disposition rather than with high speechcraft, which may make it easier to work out how to progress) - Presto (talk) 18:53, 17 August 2023 (UTC)
