Wandering around Riverwood[edit]

I've just seen her heading towards the bridge in Riverwood, to my surprise. I don't know why she's there, probably heading towards her stronghold in Eastmarch. I haven't played the game for a long time, so I had to update the unofficial patch, and seeing I never saw her there before, it might have something to do with it? ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 21:57, 24 July 2013 (GMT)

I would probably assume it has something to do with the unofficial patch as well, seeing as her schedule looks like she just patrols around the stronghold at all times. The only thing I could think of would be if you fast traveled from her stronghold to Riverwood and she "followed" you there for some strange reason (similar to the bug that Brielus Gawey had in Oblivion). Since I don't think she will follow you around and I haven't heard of anyone in Skyrim having a bug like this, this probably isn't the case though. You also never mentioned being around Yatul before heading to Riverwood, so it's probably like you said, something to do with the unoffical patch. Forfeit (talk) 01:07, 25 July 2013 (GMT)
No I didn't even know her, I just started a new game at that too. Anyway, I went to spend the night in one of those bedrolls outside Riverwood (those that show up after having told the Jarl about Helgen), I woke up and BAM, she startled me nagging about some guy again. She seems to be just standing there, I suppose "patrolling" Riverwood for some reason ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 01:31, 26 July 2013 (GMT)
Ok, now I went to spent the night at Valtheim Towers, and she woke me up again. She's clearly following me for some reason ~ Dwarfmp (talk) 15:53, 26 July 2013 (GMT)
it's happening to me too! (sorry if this isn't right way to post. dunno how). new game, go to riverwood, go into Sleeping Giant, come out and head to whiterun. she's there at the bridge. later i met her at Loreius Farm — Unsigned comment by 72.49.124.232 (talk) at 09:57 on 7 August 2013

Yatul + Other Orcs from the stronghold appear next to me after i've slept in an Inn[edit]

This has been a weird occurring bug now, whenever i got to sleep in an Inn, when i wake up the next morning Yatul is randomly standing next time, though when I wait an hour she is then gone back to her Stronghold — Unsigned comment by 92.239.254.16 (talk) at 16:15 on 31 July 2013 (GMT)

Yatul keeps showing up as I sleep.[edit]

After escaping Helgen I reached Riverwood, did some crafting and generally tried to prepare myself for heading out into Skyrim. I got a night's sleep at the Sleeping Giant and when I woke up this heavy set Orc woman is staring down at me bitching about some guy I've never met chasing after women...

I didn't think much of it other than to wonder how she got in my room in the first place and what kind of place they were running here in Riverwood I promptly forgot all about it... until I woke up after camping near Darkwater and found her standing over me in my tent.

Anybody know if there's a console command for making her go home? — Unsigned comment by Whitelion1284 (talkcontribs) at 14:19 on 15 August 2013

There isn't a specific one, but you can return to her home, type prid 0001B095 and then type moveto player to return her home. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:08, 15 August 2013 (GMT)
Ha! ive got this problem too. she appeared on every house i sleep. now she seems like a stalker to me. — Unsigned comment by Devilhacker (talkcontribs) at 16:36 on 15 August 2013 (GMT)
I'll mark the bug on the article mentioning this as confirmed, then. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:36, 15 August 2013 (GMT)
Actually, Devilhacker can you specify whether you have any mods running? This includes the USKP. — ABCface 16:38, 15 August 2013 (GMT)
Actually, I do recall having seen this happen before as well, with UKSP running, and nothing else that should alter schedules. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 16:42, 15 August 2013 (GMT)

() This does indeed appear to be due to changes made in the USKP, but all we did was modify one of her packages so she'd sleep at night (orc guards all have nonsense 24/7 guard schedules) by adding a default sandbox at editor location package. There's nothing we did that should have been able to cause this. It's still a matter that's under investigation. It's especially difficult to determine what's happening because it isn't consistent. Not everyone sees it, and only one of our team members has had it happen to her, and that was totally random. It appears to be one of those engine gotchas that you just can't see coming until it happens to someone. If we can't route around the problem we'll just revert the changes to the orc guard packages even though having them stand guard forever is stupid :P Arthmoor (talk) 21:24, 16 August 2013 (GMT)

Can it be that USKP by modifying that package has released a bug that was detected by Bethesda and then not fixed but just avoided by letting the guards go on duty 24/7? —MortenOSlash (talk) 08:57, 18 August 2013 (GMT)
I wouldn't doubt it. It took us a couple of releases before we mopped up all the hidden bugs that came up when we fixed Derkeethus. This orc thing doesn't make sense though because when the orcs show up, they're not being run by any quest aliases we didn't notice. Arthmoor (talk) 21:24, 22 August 2013 (GMT)
Yatul showed up, out of nowhere, at Valtheim Towers while my character was engaged with the bandits there. My character had not recently slept (for several in game days if not weeks) and I have never had Yatul appear after sleeping. My character, level 25 at the time, has never been to Narzulbur. No contact had been made with Yatul prior to this incident. However, this character has been to Valthiem Towers on at least one previous occasion and Yatul was not there. I am running USKP. Hope this helps.Rasterdog (talk) 02:29, 8 September 2013 (GMT)

Just for the benefit of anyone finding this a decade later, we long ago removed these edits from the Unofficial Patch. If Yatul or Arob or the other one is showing up in places they don't belong now, something else in your load order is causing that. None of their packages should be allowing them to leave their strongholds. Arthmoor (talk) 17:52, 7 April 2023 (UTC)

Yatul in Whiterun[edit]

Just slept for an hour in Uthgerd's house in Whiterun and Yatul stands inside the house, right next to the door. Haven't encountered here in the game before. This is on pc with the current USKPs installed. — Unsigned comment by 46.223.131.85 (talk) at 18:12 on 11 October 2013
