Soul gem traps[edit]

Is it possible to use this to defuse soul gem traps? I've tried, but it doesn't seem to detect the gem. Maybe I'm just doing it wrong? It just would seem like a real shame if you couldn't--68.230.66.230 23:51, 15 February 2013 (GMT)

Seems like it should be possible, but I haven't tried it. Then again, since you can also defuse soul gem traps with - pretty much every other spell, it's hardly necessary. (And it'd actually be kind of tricky lining yourself up for Telekinesis while you're being constantly shot at by the trap... Only advantage is you don't run the risk of losing the soul gem when you knock it off the stand. TheRealLurlock (talk) 00:42, 16 February 2013 (GMT)
Like the first editor, I can't disable Soul Gem Traps with Telekinesis either. When the spell is readied, I do not detect the gem while pointing the crosshair at it. It´s a bit odd, since the trap can be disabled with pretty much any other spell. Quill (talk) 21:05, 22 June 2013 (GMT)

Telekinesis Duplication Glitch[edit]

I was in the Temple of the Divines in Solitude playing with telekinesis when i tried to throw a baked potatoes and while a baked potatoes went flying through the air, the one i cast the spell at stayed where it was. I continued repeating this for a while, duplicating baked potatoes. Has anyone else had this happen? Baked potatoes seems to be the only item this works on. Btw im playing on xbox 360. — Unsigned comment by 98.244.13.11 (talk)

Baked potatoes are a bit weird in that they're one item, but appear to be two as far as the physics are concerned. The two pieces can evidently be separated, and each of them can turn into a new pair of potato-halves when thrown apparently? I'm trying to think if there are any other items that might behave this way. Obviously, duplicating baked potatoes might be fun, but it's not all that useful. What I'd be curious about is when someone dies and they drop their weapon and/or shield, but when you see the item on the ground, it acts like part of their corpse - is this exploitable? Can you duplicate the dropped item in this way? Testing required. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 12:11, 16 March 2013 (GMT)
i dont think thats quite it. I was able to duplicate the same baked potatoes over and over. But maybe the 2 halves has something to do with it. Mayne when seperated each half becomes its own baked potatoes with its own 2nd half? Ill mess with dead people, see if i can find a glitch.98.244.13.11 07:58, 18 March 2013 (GMT)

Objects are thrown rather than fall to the ground when spell wears off.[edit]

The article says that any objects under the effect of the spell will fall to the ground, but in my game at least, objects are immediately thrown away. It doesn't matter if you let go of the mouse button, run out of magicka or "sheathe" your hands. Is this normal behavior? Telekinesis used to be a great spell for decorating your house back in Oblivion. You could rotate items in the air and everything, I haven't found a way to do this in Skyrim. --Coxis (talk) 04:59, 28 January 2014 (GMT)

I'm on PC and the same thing happens. The item is thrown no matter what, and it makes it hard to get items far away since u can't grab them when the float over to you, and then they are thrown, so you have to get lucky that it will bounce to you, making me have to save before trying to fetch an item since it can get lost. Skyrim sucks for physically moving objects in-game. Oblivion was great. I can't decorate for crap in Skyrim. --71.94.53.49 06:53, 27 November 2014 (GMT)

What are the preconditions to 'continually cast Telekinesis even after your magicka has been depleted'?[edit]

The description of the telekinesis spells says: "It is possible for you to continually cast Telekinesis even after your magicka has been depleted." How does one make it work? Was it fixed in a patch? 12.199.203.110 17:22, 8 September 2014 (GMT)

Guaranteed Telekinesis Book[edit]

I think there's a guaranteed Telekinesis book in Redwater Den (specifically, in the cell the vampires dump you in after you succumb to the effects of Redwater Skooma). Could someone verify this? — Unsigned comment by Tarvok (talkcontribs) at 03:55 on 28 May 2015 (GMT)

Yes, but that is not the standard game. That only becomes available with the Dawnguard add-on. (And please remember to sign your contributions on the talk pages.) —MortenOSlash (talk) 05:05, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
