Mysterium Xarxes changing into bucket[edit]

I am completely flabbergasted. Hitting the Mysterium with a weapon did indeed change it into an immobile bucket. Whoda thunkit. --Xyzzy 04:42, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

This is true, it happened to me too JackTurbo95 17:38, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
The question is still, "Why?" Is there something else to this easter egg/possible glitch? ---Gamer3427 19:26, 17 June 2012 (UTC)
The fact that the change is referred to as a bug just shows how arrogant Arthmoor is. He clearly thinks he knows better than the actual developers of the game. It's obviously not a bug, a glitch or an "issue", and it certainly didn't need to be "fixed". Bethesda put it in for comedic purposes. I can't believe this site claims to adhere to NPOV when so many articles refer to intended game mechanics or designs as "bugs" and "issues" that are ostensibly "fixed" by the unofficial patch. What a load of rubbish. Arthmoor, you don't know better than Bethesda, and SO many of your "fixes" are clearly just your own preferences regarding how the game "should" be. How utterly narcissistic you must be to refer to your mod (ad that's ALL it is, a mod) as a "patch". And the sycophants here at UESP lap it up. The word "bug" should be removed from that part, because it's OBVIOUSLY not a bug! 110.141.149.88 22:44, 19 February 2021 (UTC) p N
This was already in the notes section to indicate that it wasn't necessarily a bug. I have changed the wording to remove the word "bug". Please remember to follow the guidelines regarding etiquette. --Oriwa Talk 22:58, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

Stolen Bug[edit]

I stole the Mythic Dawn clothing and Commentaries on the Mysterium Xarxes, but when I sell them to a fence, they remain stolen, even when I buy them back. I've reversed pickpocketed them onto Silus before I killed him, and they're still stolen. Is this a problem for anyone else? Lord Irvine 13:01, 18 July 2012 (UTC)

Try wait until the quest is over before you take them. You could also just take the clothes off Silus once you kill him. RIM 13:10, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
It's too late to do that, but since I'm thankfully on my PC and not my PS3, I can use the console to remove the stolen flags. Lord Irvine 13:21, 18 July 2012 (UTC)
(PS3 user) Alternatively, if you have a follower (I use a housecarl), you can also deposit the Mythic Dawn clothing and Commentaries into a "red" container (I use one of the owned barrels on Riften's lower level, roughly across the canal from the door to the Ratway). Then ask your follower to steal from the barrel and trade items with him/her afterwards--the "stolen" tags get removed, both in your inventory and in containers. But for certain items, if you later drop them on the ground, the tags return. MrC (talk) 16:41, 14 March 2013 (GMT)
I waited until after completion of the quest to take the Commentaries, and they're still stuck on stolen flags even after trading with a fence. --86.30.168.34 22:40, 30 June 2013 (GMT)

Bug: Crash to Desktop[edit]

Playing Skyrim SE with Curios (CC), Fishing (CC), Saints & Seducers (CC), Hearthfire, Dragonborn, and Dawnguard. I get a crash to desktop on PC when I attempt to enter Silus Vesuius's House. The door opening visual and creaking sound play but then there is an immediate crash to desktop. I've tried three times so far, all with the same crash. Is this known? Is there a work-around? I'm adding this as a bug needing verification. Kalevala (talk) 01:59, 16 December 2021 (UTC)

I have this crash to desktop under the same circumstances. Every time I try to enter the house (with all three shards of Mehrunes' Razor).205.178.34.125 06:34, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
I am having the same problem when I have 2 of the 3 pieces - already handed in the first piece earlier. Procopius (talk) 14:23, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
I have this issue too. Just when I attempt to enter his house after being invited. Strange. — Unsigned comment by 116.230.150.186 (talk) at 17:12 on 16 December 2021 (UTC)
It's a broken texture. Here's a temporary fix. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 17:12, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
The mod one downloads per Nexus "Replaces the 3 corrupted textures with edited vanilla files. They have a 0.03% change in contrast. To be used until Bethesda patches the corrupt BSA from update 1.6.342 Is direct replacer (sic) textures so this mod will be safe to remove mid playthrough." And since it is a mod that is downloaded, achievements are turned off (as for any mod) until Bethesda corrects things. Kalevala (talk) 00:44, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
