A Theory

During the Main Quest 'Diplomatic Immunity', after exiting Elenwen's Party and entering her Solar, a man can be overheard speaking with Rulindil. The man is an informant named Gissur. Upon the end of their dialogue, Gissur will exit the Solar and begin talking to himself. He mentions another supposed informant named 'Greasy Thom'. Could this 'Greasy Thom be the Thomas found within Bleakfalls Barrow. A 'greasy' person is afterall likely to slip about, especially on an icy surface. Could the Thalmor have sent him on the same quest as the Dragonborn- to uncover the Dragonstone? Only for him to die in the process. The only real vague connections here being the names 'Thom' and 'Thomas' as well as the purpose and nature of Bleakfalls Barrow in regards to the dragons. With the Blades (Delphine) sending the Dragonborn for the Dragonstone and the Thalmor sending just about anyone (afterall their informants are just regular people, like Gissur, Ettiene and apparently this 'Greasy Thom' Character).
