Heavy or Light[edit]

Is it known what determines whether or not his mask is heavy or light armour? If so this should be added to the page — Unsigned comment by 78.150.218.168 (talk) at 12:03 on 24 December 2012‎

Yes—looks like it's both, probably depending which skill of yours is higher. eshetalk 16:33, 31 December 2012 (GMT)

Version triggered?[edit]

Just was wondering, does anyone know when the game determines what version of the mask you get? Like if you are level 52 when you first meet Miraak in the Black Book, and level 63 when you kill him, do you get the level 60+ mask or the one below it?--Barfightbob (talk) 06:51, 20 February 2013 (GMT)

Light or Heavy version[edit]

Is there any way to determine which version of the mask you will get - between Heavy and Light? For example, if you wear light armor during your battle with Miraak, do you get the Light version of the mask? Or is there no way to affect the outcome?--Gimee (talk) 23:14, 28 May 2013 (GMT)

about the heavy/light armor bug[edit]

In the CK all the heavy versions of the mask are labeled as "heavy" (next to "weight"), so they should increase heavy armor, not light armor. Can someone confirm this? Cridus (talk) 15:49, 11 October 2013 (GMT)

It's the skill entry, not the weight entry, that determines what skill it increases. This cslist entry (the ck exported to a webpage) shows that this mask increases light armor skill, not heavy, even though it has the ArmorHeavy keyword. --AN|L (talk) 17:40, 11 October 2013 (GMT)
Wow I didn't know about that page, thank you very much.
Before writing, I checked in www.creationkit.com's tutorials to see what determined the skill that gets increased, and it said it was that unlabeled setting near "weight"... Whatever.
So, when using the CK, where can I see and change that thing? Cridus (talk) 23:02, 11 October 2013 (GMT)
I reported the bug in the USKP bugtracker and NightStar told me this: "This is also Not A Bug as CK shows the skill correctly, ie. it does not match the information on uesp.net". I guess the final check is testing ingame. Cridus (talk) 12:12, 12 October 2013 (GMT)
Aaaand they increase heavy armor. I'll remove that bug entry. Cridus (talk) 12:31, 12 October 2013 (GMT)
That reply is far too vague to presume that the bug entry is wrong, it could mean any part of the page, nevermind that the cslist linked is a direct export from the game and confirms the "bug". Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 13:19, 12 October 2013 (GMT)
Uff... I tested in-game and looked into the CK. The increased skill is heavy armor. Try it yourself. Cridus (talk) 14:40, 12 October 2013 (GMT)
