Milk supply[edit]

If you own a cow and you have the kitchen constructed, the cow will produce one jug of milk per day which can be found stocked in one of the cupboards (east wall, south side). There will be 7 jugs of milk after the initial purchase of the cow and 1 jug per day henceforth. They continue to accumulate if you don't remove them daily. Figured this should be noted on the page pending confirmation.174.0.115.201 06:27, 21 September 2012 (GMT)

Texture error[edit]

After building a kitchen and fireplace in both windstad and heljarchen I've gotten a texture error twice. To the left of the fireplace is a rabbit on a chopping block. The chopping block texture is missing and shows the default purple error texture. I have no mods installed just the high res texture pack and hearthfire. 87.194.26.132 19:51, 10 October 2012 (GMT)

Disabling the high-res texture pack had it displaying properly. So it seems this texture is missing from the pack. 87.194.26.132 21:12, 10 October 2012 (GMT)

Unsafe Containers[edit]

I am noting that the barrels to the left and right of the oven in the north corner are not safe to store items in. I left a couple items to test the northwest barrel and the barrel seems to have respawned. I would appreciate confirmation that it is not just me. Lazlow-FM (talk) 20:48, 5 November 2012 (GMT)

EDIT: After further evaluation i am sure it was a bug with something i was doing with my game and not a natural reset of the container. However I will leave this up here incase anyone else notes any unsafe containers in the kitchen area. — Unsigned comment by 24.63.113.138 (talk) at 15:30 on 6 November 2012 (GMT)

Churn[edit]

I was just wondering, does anyone know if the butter churn replenishes or not? If it does, how long does it take? I remember retrieving butter from it once right after I had built it, but it has not produced any since. It's been at least 14 in-game days. I've also tried activating the churn with milk in my inventory to see if I had to make butter, but nothing happened. I also own a cow. --SlyKhajiit (talk) 20:36, 24 November 2012 (GMT)

In reading other forums, some people say that it replenishes if you stay away for 10 days. I've never been away from the home that I have the kitchen installed in that long to find out. (That was the first house I built, so it's where I have all my toys.) Agmen (talk) 20:50, 6 December 2012 (GMT)
The butter churn (and the mead barrel, and the hawk's nest) are affected by the bug where it will respawn as you expect after the cell resets (i.e. ten days without entering the cell), however after you save and reload, it will 'despawn' and you will have to wait until the cell resets again. This bug is fixed by Flora Respawn Fix (I should mention I am the author of this mod.) Bluedanieru (talk) 07:00, 9 February 2013 (GMT)

Mounted Elk Antlers[edit]

The Mounted Elk Antler falls down in my kitchen when I'm closing the doors next to it. Can anyone confirm this? The only mod I use is the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, which shouldn't cause this problem. Is there any way to fix it, except for disabling the Antlers completely? It apparently isn't attached to the wall itself, but is only sitting on the doors. If you close only one of them the Antlers tilt in that direction and fall down eventually. If you disable the Antlers, close both doors and then enable it again it falls straight down. You might be able to avoid this glitch by buying the Antlers while both doors are closed. ~ MyNameDoesntMatter — Unsigned comment by 109.90.239.110 (talk) at 02:03 on 17 February 2013

I can confirm this. I'm playing on the PS3 and just noticed this and was checking to see if anyone else experienced this issue or if my character just sucks at mounting elk antlers. I guess I'm just going to have to keep my doors open. 65.60.140.184 20:11, 1 May 2013 (GMT)
Another fix that I just stumbled on. I stayed away from Lakeview manor for a long time, plenty of time for it to respawn, and when it did, it respawned with all doors shut and the elk antlers are now firmly attached to the wall. I completed most of the quests in Markarth then did Mjoll's quest to marry her before I returned. 65.60.140.184 00:21, 12 May 2013 (GMT)

Mushrooms[edit]

Do new mushrooms grow underneath the display cases once you harvested them? — Unsigned comment by 109.90.239.110 (talk) at 03:43 on 17 February 2013

Late reply, but in case anyone else wonders, yes they do. — ABCface 21:56, 31 August 2013 (GMT)
