Dropping Journal[edit]

To drop this item from the console, use "player.drop 000CEDA6 1". I just saved you two minutes. --Theothersteve7 06:14, 15 February 2012 (UTC)

'Unreadable in game?'[edit]

"The journal is written in Falmer and unreadable in game. There seems to be a bug where you cannot get rid of it throughout the game, as it is marked as a quest item."

The Journal was very much readable in game - the Falmer language inside is just a simple substitution cipher like Daedric or Dwemer. Should this be changed? — Unsigned comment by 86.176.191.99 (talk) at 23:28 on 21 April 2012

I can confirm this. Thanks for pointing that out - I'll go ahead and change the note. • JATalk 23:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Dropping Journal in a PS3 Game[edit]

The console command might be fine for a PC player but what about the PS3 platform game. I have a PS3 and can't seem to drop my journal either. What can I do to drop it? — Unsigned comment by 76.246.253.99 (talk) at 20:13 on 15 November 2012

Unfortunately, nothing. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:22, 15 November 2012 (GMT)

You have a period of time where you can drop it right after the quest ends before you meet Karliah at the Raged Flagon.

"English"?[edit]

This is probably really trivial, but is it really right to say the journal translates into "English"? I mean yes, to players of the TES series, it's English, but there was no England on Nirn. I'm not actually sure if the "common language" among Men and Mer in the games has a name, but if it does, perhaps it should be used instead? At least in the infobox. It just ends up making more questions, such as 'what is the common language'. Keeping things simple and understandable without causing more questions is the aim. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 17:42, 12 May 2015 (GMT)
I've changed it to "transliterated", which is more appropriate. Although in-universe the language would be Tamrielic. —Legoless (talk) 18:39, 12 May 2015 (GMT)
