curalmil's corpse glitch[edit]

360 glitch. while fighting curalmil during white phial quest. repeated saves caused curalmil's corpse to not show a search option. needed to save and load after he was dead to see his name and the search option on his remains. which contained 6 gold and 3 ancient arrows i was shooting at him. maybe this just happened to me. still experiencing 1.2 patch glitches. — Unsigned comment by 76.16.56.252 (talk) at 13:19 on 7 December 2011

Dragon Shout verification for Curamil boss level Draugr[edit]

updated Dragon Shout ability of boss level draugr Curamil. While additional verification might be needed, it appears this is a 'set in stone' scripted boss. I encountered Curamil while on The White Phial quest (as a level 24 ice specialist mage).

He is a scripted boss, but nearly all of his characteristics are leveled -- including whether or not he's even a draugr. I've updated both this page and Curalmil accordingly. --NepheleTalk 05:19, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Glitches with the Cave[edit]

I was sent by Farkas into Forsaken after I had already done two other quests requiring me to go in and clear it out (The White Phial and another, which I forget). Unfortunately, even though I cleared it out, Curamil (or an equivalent) didn't respawn. In fact, despite all of the rest of the draugr and loot resetting, his corpse was still where I had killed him at, like, level 11. (I was level 46 when I got the quest from Farkas) In desperation, I thought that reviving him with my necromancy and then killing him might satisfy the quest log, but, of course, it didn't. This is a crappy glitch, because now I can't finish the Companions questline. I've experienced other glitches with this character, including The Waters of Oblivion glitch, dragon problems (flying backwards, etc). Anyone know how to fix this cave? I'm on 360. 76.106.74.107 14:36, 18 January 2012 (UTC)Kerris

I've had similar problems with this quest. WhenI go to the forsaken cave as part of the Companions Quests, the leader is already dead. I kill all of the draugrs and get no credit for the quest. This seems to be preventing me from completing the Companion Quests. — Unsigned comment by Xmxplxz (talkcontribs) at 04:12 on 13 February 2012
How to Fix this problem using the console:
Go to the cave, find the body of the Curalmil (it should be easy if the quest is activated). Then enter the console (press '), select the Curalmil (by doing this his code should appear, so you know you have selected him) and then type: ResurrectActor 1
I did it using PC (with no patch) and Curamil revived, so I could kill him again and complete the quest. So far I've notice no "collateral damage" because of this trick. — Unsigned comment by 189.4.93.175 (talk) at 05:11 on 19 April 2012

Same here and I have 1.4 fix[edit]

I go Forsaken Cave and Curamil is already dead. Tried everything in arsenal and he isn't getting any deader. Perhaps Bethesda will see this and fix it? I am PS3. — Unsigned comment by Paktar (talkcontribs) at 12:00 on 18 February 2012

Same here. Curamil lies dead. I'm level 51, no way am I reloading level 12 to do this. I also can't continue with The Companions quest line. — Unsigned comment by 82.28.92.50 (talk) at 11:21 on 14 April 2012
Same here, level 43, on PC. — Unsigned comment by 189.4.93.175 (talk) at 02:22 on 19 April 2012

Curalmil Fix[edit]

To resurrect Curalmil (boss in Forsaken Cave), open the console (`), click on Curalmil's corpse, and an 8-digit code will appear. For me, the code was 0008db3a. Then type "resurrect (0008db3a)". This worked for me. 156.34.176.152 15:16, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

I added this to his page, hopefully in the correct spot. Vely►t►e 15:51, 1 August 2012 (UTC)

Weird find in the Crypt[edit]

SR-misc-Forsaken Crypt.jpg

I went through Forsaken Crypt again many months after clearing it and found the Butcher's Journals and several copies of Beware the Butcher! arranged in an arc in front of and on top of the alchemy lab in the secret room behind the word wall (see image -->). Anybody have idea why this would have appeared here? --Xyzzy Talk 18:29, 4 May 2013 (GMT)

I'd recognize that pattern anywhere. Not sure why it would have stayed put, but you must've dropped all that stuff from your inventory at the same time. Probably just before or after you used that alchemy lab, judging by the arrangement. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 03:19, 31 July 2013 (GMT)
I guess it's possible that I dropped these here many months ago when I was last in this cave. Unlikely, but possible. Thanks for the response. --Xyzzy Talk 04:46, 31 July 2013 (GMT)

Scary Moment[edit]

This is the most horrible thing that have ever happened me today. So, i was doing this quest for the Companions in the Forsaken Cave (the cave where you find the White Phial). i have just passed the "main" burial halls and defeated two high-leveled dragur, and continued into the next room where i knew the door to "Forsaken Cave, Crypt" would be. I walked into that room, looted the one shelf infornt of me, turned left and walked to that shelf over there, only to turn right to face the door some 3 metters away. But instead there was this ugly dunmer Vampire Fledgling standing there, half-a-meter from me, just looking at me. Don't you think my heart just stopped? i honestly couldn't breath for a minute or two before i realized she was friendly. My question is, why was there a vampire here ? and why was she friendly ? is it a bug, or a glitch, or just a scary moment bethesda put there to scare me off ?— Unsigned comment by Hlaalu66 (talkcontribs) at 23:47 on 30 July 2013

Interesting. Forsaken Cave is a possible location for at least two radiant quests. It's possible there was a conflict of some sort. It may be the result of a mod you have installed. But I think if it was from the vanilla game, it would've been mentioned by now. Minor EditsThreatsEvidence 03:20, 31 July 2013 (GMT)
Forgot to mention i was playing on the Xbox. so no, no mods. But still it must be some glitsh of somesort, maybe it is related to the fact that i rescued the Vampires from Skyrim:Fellglow Keep in the college quest some days before ? — Unsigned comment by 90.130.251.106 (talk) at 13:29 on 8 August 2013

Curalmil Dead body glitch[edit]

Has anyone found a way to fix this glitch on the 360? I would like to finish my companions quest line. 174.238.129.161 15:05, 31 March 2014 (GMT)Deadsy

Only suggestion I can give is to raise or thrall him ad re-kill. Sorry I can't help more. Biffa (talk) 17:07, 31 March 2014 (GMT)
In what way does this "bug" present? Have you been here before and given the dungeon its proper respawn time? What quest sent you here, if it was a companion quest obviously its a radiant one (which would be helpful to know in order to add it to the list of quests)? Non-respawning boss[edit]

I found when returning that the boss' sarcophagus burst as normal, but nothing emerged and I was left with fighting only the four other draugr. One of those is highly leveled, so I'm wondering whether it was purely a visual glitch for me and that this was supposed to be the boss. Although I'm sure there were four additional draugr when facing Curalmil. As an aside the bug stating the boots and helmet may not respawn could have been mistaken or only an intermittent glitch as found them on this play through. Biffa (talk) 12:14, 14 January 2015 (GMT)

White Phial Room Door Shut[edit]

OK, this is a new one. I went in to the room to get the white phial, grabbed all the loot, and started to head out the door. Unfortunately, the door had somehow shut behind me! I searched for a way to get out, but no lever, no chain, no dice.

I did manage to use the plate trick to get out of the door. The only problem is my partner, J'Zargo was not able to use this trick and is still trapped in the room as we speak. Any idea how to rescue my friend? I know there's a console command to summon a follower, so I will try that next, I guess.

Thanks!

If you are willing to use the console, then that's definitely your best option here. Type "prid 1c1a3" followed by "moveto player" into the console, and your issue should be resolved. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 06:00, 5 June 2015 (UTC)

spelling/grammar?[edit]

"up to overload in strength." should this part read " up to an overlord in strength"? — Unsigned comment by 108.239.152.131 (talk) at 03:35 on 27 April 2017

Yes. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 02:55, 27 April 2017 (UTC)

Ice Wraith?[edit]

An anonymous user added that one of the occupants was an Ice Wraith. However, I read through the page and did not see any mention of an ice wraith inside the cave. Could the Ice wraith have been a random encounter outside of the cave? If so, then it should be removed, as random encounters belong on their respective page. -- Werewolfvampire (talk) 20:04, 6 April 2020 (GMT)
