Existence[edit]

Since when does this exist as an separate spell? I thought the mask randomly uses the spell effect when the health of the character is low. — Unsigned comment by 94.220.218.137 (talk) at 19:18 on 5 June 2013‎

Not sure what you mean, it clearly states that it is only available through the mask. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 19:20, 5 June 2013 (GMT)
It states that it is a 'fire and forget' type spell which summons the Dragon Priest where the caster is pointing, and it states that it costs magicka. For me, the article makes it look like the spell is added to the spell list and can be cast any time while the mask is equipped, similiar to Ignite/Freeze and Ahzidals ring. The last time I checked it, it didn't do such a thing. — Unsigned comment by 94.220.218.137 (talk) at 19:34 on 5 June 2013
It is not the fault of the wiki or its editors if you merely glance at a small selection of data on the page and jump to conclusions. The second sentence on the page is clear, "It cannot be purchased, but instead is only available while wearing the Konahrik mask.". It also states in the notes section of the summary table, "It cannot be purchased, but instead is only available while wearing the Konahrik mask." There is no issue here. The same could stand on the pages for Ignite and Freeze, who also cannot be purchased, but instead are only available while wearing Ahzidal's Ring of Arcana. And the fact that it is, as you stated, easy to jump to conclusions given by the misleading informations on this page, which makes adding a sentences like Wearing Konahrik does not add the spell to the players inventory necessary to prevent some readers misunderstanding it. — Unsigned comment by 94.220.218.137 (talk) at 20:12 on 5 June 2013
There is no misleading statements on the page. You failed to read the page clearly. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:27, 5 June 2013 (GMT)
It states that it is available while wearing the mask. It also states that Conjure Dragon Priest is an expert level conjuration spell that summons a Dragon Priest to aid you in combat.. This is misleading. As an expert level conjuration spell, you would guess that you can cast that spell like any other expert level conjuration spell (for example, the 'Conjure Storm Atronach' spell) while wearing the Konahrik mask. This is, however, not the case: The mask has a chance to cast that spell for you when the character's health is reduced below 10%. --94.220.218.137 20:58, 5 June 2013 (GMT)
The anon is right. This is misleading. Perhaps it should say "the effect is only available" and also list the conditions required for the effect to appear. Bluedanieru (talk) 16:19, 15 November 2013 (GMT)

Changed the phrasing to make it clear this spell is NOT available to the player.[edit]

Available   adjective 1. suitable or ready for use; of use or service; at hand: I used whatever tools were available.

A spell is available if it may be cast by the character. It is NOT available if an item the character is wearing might randomly choose it from a list of spells it casts under certain conditions.
