Detailed Walkthrough[edit]
Caspus Quillan wants you to break Vida Light-Foot out of Goldstone castle's dungeon. You can get advice from other Thieves Guild members at the keep as to how to do it. Charles Agerne will note that a thaumic disruptor is present in the dungeon that will prevent any teleportation magic from working - he'll recommend deactivating it if you wish to teleport Vida out. Vandelenwe references secret passages in the castle, but can't point you to where they are. The information broker, Cassanda, can pinpoint these passages for you if you visit her in her house in Charach - they begin in the sewers.
When ready, travel to Anvil and enter the castle. You can get to the dungeons through the Lower Hall, although start from the sewers if you wish to make use of the secret passageway, as you'll want that open as an escape route.
Vida is in one of the lower level cells on the dungeon's right-hand side. If you want to get her out through the secret passage, wait until the patroling guard has left the corridor and then pick the lock to her cell. Speak to Vida and tell her to follow you when ready. You both need to leave the dungeon via the passageway before the guard gets back and reports the crime. Then escort her through the sewers to the outside. She'll speak to you once you're on dry land, and will promise to make her own way back to the Keep.
If you wish to take the teleportation magic route, obtain a Scroll of Divine Intervention, and on entering the dungeon look for the trapped and locked door near Caldia Acon. The room beyond this contains a thaumic disruptor. Activate its Control Console to receive an option to disable it - you'll know you've done this when the disruptor's blue light turns off. Then speak to Vida with a Scroll of Divine Intervention, and she will teleport away.
Once Vida has returned to the keep, speak to Caspus Quillan for a reward.
