Race[edit]

Is noted as Chimer/Dunmer, while Almalexia is named a Chimer and Sotha Sil a Dunmer. Is it based on some technical information from the game or is it a some weird and arbitrary interpretation based solely on their appearance? Phoenix Neko (talk) 10:34, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

As far as I remember this is from the fact that the three demi-gods have themselves chosen their appearance like this. Almalexia appear as a Chimer. Sotha Sil appear as a Dunmer. Vivec appear both at once. One side Chimer and the other side Dunmer. —MortenOSlash (talk) 18:28, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
First of all, it is not the fact, it is a common assumption never confirmed by any lore source. The gods may change their appearance whenever and however they like. And the bluish side of Vivec does look nowhere close to the Dunmer skin. Second, I'm not sure if the race of characters should be stated based on their appearance instead of lore or technical information. According to the lore, the Tribunal and all Chimer people were transformed by Azura into the Dunmer. So their current and/or chosen appearance doesn't even matter. We don't have the technical information for ESO, so races are based off a mix of appearance, dialogue, lore, and any other ingame source (books, journal, etc). A character's "chosen" appearance in the game does matter, and overrides previous known lore, especially for the infobox which is for technical information.
