Layout of Pragraphs[edit]

Currently we lay out paragraphs for book pages in the Daggerfall style (indent instead of empty separating line). This is not how they appear in-game. I propose to change the template for book pages, so that ESO books will use the in-game layout. --Alfwyn (talk) 19:33, 8 March 2014 (GMT)

Missing?[edit]

Lore:Chance's Folly is in this playthrough on YouTube:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeFCdj5TAY0 at 3:49 (click pause fast, the player was not reading it!)

So, either:

UESP is not counting in its list of EOL books, books that are in Skyrim also
UESP is not counting in its list of EOL books, random books found as loot, or whatever this is in the playthrough
Some other reason for not including this that I did not think of
Or Chance's Folly is missing from the list

I will leave the rest up to you.

PS the "Adding multiple unnecessary links to an external web site" message is somewhat broken, imo. As you can see, there is only one url link, and there are two such messages displayed. 24.5.62.158 23:58, 29 March 2014 (GMT)

There are probably in the region of a hundred books yet to be added. Let us know if you find anymore that have been missed (no need for a video for verification though). Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 00:35, 30 March 2014 (GMT)

Craglorn Secrets[edit]

I'm not sure why this was considered separate from the Eidetic Memory, but it must have changed since. 'Craglorn Secrets' is a tab in the Eidetic Memory. I've made all the necessary changes I think. —Legoless (talk) 18:43, 20 June 2014 (GMT)

Remove Book Section[edit]

With 1682 'books' (and counting) this section is going to be bloated beyond belief. We have the collections to divide them, and in this case a link to the category would be the only reasonable way to have all books listed. Further to the mooted removal of 'notes', there are 1273 (and counting) of them, they would also be expected to be listed here upon the removal of that non-ESO distinction. Agreed. --AKB Talk Cont Mail 23:30, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
Done. At over 3k books in the collections, no one can honestly keep one page accurate with all of them, not to mention the books without collections. Silence is GoldenBreak the Silence 20:32, 15 July 2016 (UTC)

Update (also, I'm not impressed)[edit]

  • Celestial Style and Hour Order Style are in game and available for crafting.
  • Yokudan Style, Draugr Style, Skinchanger Style are listed in the in game eidetic memory but NOT yet available.
  • Hollowjack and Grim Harlequin are gone from the eidetic memory? Removed after Halloween event? What does that even mean?
  • There is no Akatosh style, possibly they named it wrong and it was Order of Hour all along.

Just listing these, because with all the constant changes it's getting confusing what should be here and what shouldn't. Tib (talk) 19:10, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

Yokudan and Draugr Style are available - Yokudan from Craglorn quests and Draugr from the guild daily quests. Skinchanger will be available in a couple weeks, so it's not a big deal. Hollowjack also appeared long before the Witches Festival as well. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 19:24, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
That's okay, thanks for pointing it out, but I wonder what to do with the 2 styles that have disappeared, and whether it is intended or not. I mean, if the motifs can still be used to learn styles, and the styles can still be crafted, why remove the books? Since we should have an up-to date collection list, and these are not in the collection anymore, I'm sitting and wondering what to do. Add a note somewhere maybe? Tib (talk) 19:39, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
My guess (and of course we won't know for sure until next year) is that these collections are just hidden, and any motifs you read will show up if/when they come back next year. This would follow the same pattern as other books for which there was no collection originally but it was added later. The books can definitely still be used if you have them or find them in guild stores, they just won't drop anymore. A note that these motifs are currently unavailable (at least without guild stores, which will presumably sell out I'd assume) would be appropriate. — TheRealLurlock (talk) 21:36, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
