Verkynvayl is a Xivilai frost mage and member of Molag Bal's council. He is located inside the Planar Vortex. He, Clorsatari and Kehothar will be pitted against you during the quest.

Quest-Related Events

After you place the Light of Meridia while within the Planar Vortex, Verkynvayl and the rest of the council will teleport in.

Clorsatari: "The light approaches. It brightens the shadows. It attempts to break the darkness."

Kehothar: "But the darkness is strong. Our father, our god—he is the darkness. He shall repel the light."

Verkynvayl: "Our father approaches. He will consume the light. He will tear it apart. He will destroy it. He will destroy you!"

Clorsatari: "Our father has spoken. He wishes us to challenge you and you alone."

Verkynvayl has a cut line of dialogue that was supposed to play when his turn came to attack you:

Verkynvayl: "The light purges the shadow, but darkness still exists. I curse the light!"
