The Innkeeper's Daughter
Nellor, an innkeeper in Redfur Trading Post, informed me of bandits who kidnapped his daughter Larasel. He asked me to bring her home safely.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Free Larasel at the bandit camp east of Redfur Trading Post.
  2. Defeat the bandits.
  3. Read the incriminating letter, which is on the crates at the camp.
  4. Talk to Nellor.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

Northeast of Redfur Trading Post, in one of the houses on the eastern side, you will find Nellor, a desperate innkeeper looking for his kidnapped daughter, Larasel. Bandits took her, and he doesn't have enough money to pay the ransom. He believes she is in a nearby camp.

The Bandit Camp[edit]

The bandit camp is southwest of Nellor's house and west of Redfur Trading Post. You find Larasel in a small wooden shelter and untie her. However, the bandits appear immediately after you free her. She runs away, leaving you to face your ambushers.

The Incriminating Letter[edit]

After you defeat them, you find Nellor's Bandit Connection, a letter revealing that the bandits have innkeepers, like Nellor, send unsuspecting adventurers to the camp.

Talk to Nellor[edit]

You return to the inn to confront Nellor.

"What are you doing here? Why aren't you saving my daughter?"
You set me up to be robbed.
"Wait! You don't understand. They made me do it. I mean, yes, they gave me a cut of their takings, but what choice did I have? They threatened to rob me of everything I own!"
I'm taking you to the authorities.
"Anything you say! Of course, I never spent a single coin the bandits gave me. I couldn't stand to. I'd happily give it all to you, if you'd let this go. Please?"
I'll think about it. Let's go.

You can choose to turn Nellor in to the authorities, or you can take him to his stash.

The guards are west of Nellor's inn.

Nellor's stash is behind the inn, at the base of the tree. Nellor apologizes and gives you a reward.

Notes[edit]

  • Larasel won't exist at the camp before starting the quest.
  • While the objective description when reaching Larasel states she is found inside an abandoned building, she is instead tied in a small shed-like wooden structure.
  • The readable note won't exist at the camp before starting the quest or reaching the related objective.
  • The coin reward is the same as taking the stash if you decide to bring Nellor to the authorities.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
