Relight the braziers of Labyrinthian
A priestess of Kyne named Yrsild asked me to investigate the ancient ruins of Labyrinthian in order to find her grandfather, Keldnyr, who has gone missing.

Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Find Yrsild's grandfather Keldnyr and light the three exterior braziers within Labyrinthian.
  2. Enter the ruin's interior and speak to the dying man, Hjarnam.
  3. Light the final brazier and kill the necromancer Dixulti the Moldering.
  4. Exit the dungeon and speak with Yrsild for your reward.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

The final warding flame is located in the southeastern chamber, which contains several Draugr Deathlords.

Quest Stages[edit]

The Fading Fire
Finishes Quest Journal Entry
I should enter the ancient ruin of Labyrinthian.
Objective: Enter Labyrinthian
Yrsild says her grandfather entered the ruins weeks ago and never returned. I should keep an eye out for him as we explore Labyrinthian.
Objective: Search for Keldnyr
Keldnyr is dead. A series of notes lie scattered beside his body. I should read them. They may provide some clues as to what is going on here.
Objective: Read Keldnyr's Notes
I should speak with Yrsild about what I found in her grandfather's notes.
Objective: Talk to Yrsild
Keldnyr's notes suggest that lighting special warding braziers around Labyrinthian is integral to keeping the Dragon Priest Morokei sealed away in his tomb. We need to ensure they are lit.
Objective: Light the Warding Flames: 0/3
With the three outer flames lit, Yrsild and I must now enter Labyrinthian's underground passages to find the final brazier.
Objective: Enter Labyrinthian Interior
We stumbled upon a wounded man inside Labyrinthian. He appears to know Yrsild and may hold the answers as to what's happened here. I should speak to him.
Objective: Talk to Hjarnam
We must find and ignite the final warding flame in Labyrinthian.
Objective: Light the Final Warding Flame
We lit all the warding flames, but the final one burns blue and cold. Something is clearly wrong. I should speak to Yrsild and see what she thinks.
Objective: Talk to Yrsild
Yrsild believes that the only way to settle things in Labyrinthian is to enter Morokei's tomb. Once inside, we may be able to seal the ancient Dragon Priest away for good.
Objective: Enter Morokei's Tomb
We arrived in Morokei's tomb to find the ones responsible for tampering with the warding flames inside. Yrsild and I need to seal Morokei away to prevent him from escaping, and to keep this stranger from stealing the Dragon Priest's power.
Objective: Defeat the Necromancer
Objective: Seal Morokei's Tomb
We successfully sealed Morokei away once more. I should speak to Yrsild outside Labyrinthian.
Objective: Leave Labyrinthian
Finishes quest☑ We succeeded. Morokei is sealed away once more. I should finish my business with Yrsild.
Objective: Talk to Yrsild

* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
