Quick Walkthrough[edit]

  1. Rescue prisoners.
  2. Kill King-Chief Edu.
  3. Talk to Sonolia Muspidius.

Detailed Walkthrough[edit]

A tribe of Riekrs has been raiding caravans throughout the region and taking prisoners. Sonolia Muspidius has petitioned the king's court for this reason, asking for able-bodied citizens to kill the riekr tribe's troublesome new chief and rescue some of their Imperial hostages.

There are four locations where hostages may be found, being harassed by riekrs: two of these areas are along the base of the cliff where King-Chief Edu resides, one is below a rocky little overhang north of the eastern-most cliff base location, and the last is across the river east of the eastern cliff location. You will need to kill the riekrs harassing the prisoners so they may go free.

As for the King-Chief: He is located on a ridge east of Orsinium. You won't need to use a wayshrine to reach him, as he is within walking/riding distance of Skalar's Hostel. Edu will send his riekr minions in waves to fight you, before jumping down from his throne atop the cliff above to face you himself. When the deed is done, return to Sonolia Muspidius, who is located by the stairs in Skalar's Hostel.

Notes[edit]

  • The number of prisoners to be rescued was reduced from 3 to 2 in Update 18.
  • Edu used to be a Breton noble's servant before he was whisked away from his "family's" camp in the night during a visit to Wrothgar, as detailed in this letter on the table in front of Emeraude at Orsinium's Fighters Guild and Bank.

Notes
* Any text displayed in angle brackets (e.g., <Alias=LocationHold>) is dynamically set by the game and will be filled in with the appropriate word(s) when seen in game.
  • Not all Journal Entries may appear in your journal; which entries appear and which entries do not depends on the manner in which the quest is done.
  • Stages are not always in order of progress. This is usually the case with quests that have multiple possible outcomes or quests where certain tasks may be done in any order. Some stages may therefore repeat objectives seen in other stages.
