Naheesh Dakeeto at the Mad Hist's Summit

Naheesh Dakeeto is an Argonian who can be found within the Ruins of Mazzatun. She is an elder of the Su-Zahleel tribe and she, along with the rest of the elders were captured to be sacrificed by Tree-Minder Na-Kesh and the Xit-Xaht. Once Na-Kesh is killed, Naheesh Dakeeto will lead the survivors in the cleansing of the maddened Hist-Tree.

Dialogue[edit]

Naheesh Dakeeto can be first heard pleading with a Xit-Xaht Stoneshaper in the sacrificial chamber.

Naheesh Dakeeto: "Please … I just need—"
Xit-Xaht Stoneshaper: "Up, muck-mouth! Now!"

After you defeat her captors, Heem-Jas enters the room.

Naheesh Dakeeto: "Heem-Jas? Is that—?"
Heem-Jas: "Yes, it is me. I just need to …. Kaoc. I will tend to this one. Save the others!"

She can also be spoken to at this point:

"You must...you must move quickly. Na-Kesh is mad. She will drown my fellow root-keepers in her amber brew. Please … hurry!"

After the other elders have been freed or killed, she can be spoken with again.

"I heard screaming. My fellow elders, were they …? Never mind. You must go to the summit. Find Na-Kesh and end this."

Once Na-Kesh is killed and the quest Sap and Stone is completed, she will lead the elders up to the Hist-Tree where she will thank Heem-Jas and begin the healing of the Hist.

Naheesh Dakeeto: "Phew. That ladder was not kind to old knees. You have done well, Heem-Jas. Very well indeed."
Heem-Jas: "Thank you, root-mother, but my companions are the real heroes. I spent most of our adventure lost or unconscious. I was …."
Naheesh Dakeeto: "Reckless? Yes. But the chick that tumbles out of the nest is not without virtue. Courage—even a fool's courage—is always worthy of praise."
Heem-Jas: "Thank you?"
Naheesh Dakeeto: "This Hist … I hear it now. It is in anguish."
Naheesh Dakeeto: "Mighty Hist, hear the cries of your children. Loosen your roots and unfetter your leaves. Sleep, dreamless and long. Sleep and be at peace."
<The elders perform their ritual.>
Naheesh Dakeeto: "Quiet now. Good. With rest and clean water it may yet remember what it means to be a Hist. Thank you, friends."
Heem-Jas: "Yes! Victory for Heem-Jas! Victory for the Su-Zahl—"
Heem-Jas: "Sorry. The cheering can wait … I guess."

Notes[edit]

  • Of the captured elders, Naheesh Dakeeto is the only one that cannot die, as the others can be killed through the activation of the wrong switches which leads to them being drenched in sap.
