After freeing the town, she'll mentions that she disappeared to hide her mounts:

"With the Red Rooks gone, I can bring my mounts back to the stables. I took them far away from here when I figured out what those sneaky bandits were up to."

"I made myself scarce while the Red Rooks were here. Now that things have been sorted out, I can get back to the business of buying and selling my beautiful mounts."
