Dialogue[edit]
Speak to him before speaking to Eslion and he'll remark:
- "The Wood Elf is only being detained until we get to the bottom of this matter. You may speak to him, but he's not leaving our custody until I see fit to release him."
After speaking to Eslion and making your decision, he'll say:
- "You must be the concerned bystander I'm hearing so much about. Both Vinafwe and Eslion claim you can prove their case, which begs all sorts of questions, but I don't have time for that, so lets cut to the heart of the matter."
- "Is Eslion guilty?"
If you choose to let Eslion go free, you'll tell him:
- Eslion is at fault, but he wants to make things right. He helped me eliminate the stranglers.
- "Given that your testimony is the only real evidence I have, I see no reason to continue dragging out this affair. Eslion will be fined for trespassing and criminal mischief then released."
- "If I see him here again, he will be jailed."
- Justiciar Oradel: "Free the prisoner."
- Eslion: "Sorry! Really, truly sorry, I am! Won't happen again, officer."
- Vinafwe: "You aren't seriously taking his side in this?"
- Speak to him again and he'll only say:
- "We consider this matter resolved. You may go as you please."
If you choose to have him incarcerated, you'll tell him:
- Eslion claims he didn't intend to plant stranglers, but he did alter Vinafwe's works.
- "I accept your statement and will render judgement accordingly. Whether or not he intended to do harm, his actions are in violation of acceptable conduct."
- "Given his lack of remorse, he will be imprisoned until his debt to society is repaid."
- Oradel turns to Eslion and leads him off to jail.
- Justiciar Oradel: "Eslion of Valenwood, you are under arrest for crimes against nature. You will be jailed until the court determines your punishment. Move along."
- Eslion: "Crimes against nature! Insult to injury if ever there was!"
- Vinafwe: "I cannot be rid of this weevil soon enough."
- Oradel and Bailiff Lisagnor will lead Eslion off and disappear up the road.
